If anyone's been following BM lately, Geoff Tate and the remainder of QR are apparently on very bad terms. What do you think? I think Geoff should fire their sorry asses and get some better personnel in there that wants to write songs. By the sound of things the band hasn't been contributing much of anything and have been bitching about how the music was received. |

I think they should go away because they have sucked for a long time and will suck for the immediate future. Nobody cares about Queensryche anymore. |

They should take a break. Geoff should do a solo album to get all those nasty pop ideas out of his system. Dedicated to Chaos was a fine album but it hardly sounded like Queensrÿche.... PS: does "the rest of the band" include his son in law? |

They should break up. They haven't made a decent album since PL and their recent one is proof that this band is washed up and finished. By the way for those who don't know the remaining members of QR have formed a band called Rising West with current Crimson Glory singer Todd La Torre who sounds more like Geoff Tate than Tate is now. They'll be doing shows covering early Queensryche material with a possible album in the future. |

There may be new life without Tate around. |

About time. They should have disbanded after Operation: Mindcrime. One of my fav bands ever but they haven't released anything decent for decades. |

I think I read somewhere that Tate pulled a knife on one of the other guys when he allegedly heard them talking about moving on without him or something like that. Sounds like they've been having a fun time together! I hope this Rising West project becomes their main focus now. I'm way more interested in what they can come up with than in anything even remotely related to Queensrÿche anymore. |

Geoff Tate's daughter makes a case for her family and their involvement in Queensryche. This is heating up a bit: http://metaltalk.net/news2012-2/2012079.php |

If Rising West could compose, that would be cool indeed, but .. weren't Chris DeGarmo and Geoff Tate the main songwriters? |

As I find more news about this QR situation I post it: http://www.away-team.com/metal/2012/05/30/editorial-queensryches-publicist-remarks-break-upstrife-rumors/ This explains a lot. Watch the videos posted at the end too. |

Queensryche without Geoff Tate just feels wrong, even though their new singer is much better at singing. I don't know... Maybe if they had DeGarmo they could get away with it. |

That being said, I'm more excited about a new album with this lineup than another one with Geoff Tate. Todd La Torre is unbelievable, makes me think I should be checking Crimson Glory out. |

One of my fav bands ever but they haven't released anything decent for decades. Empire was great. Promised Land was fucking brilliant. And Hear In The Now Frontier was great. After that, sadly, it's been all hit or miss. A handful of great songs, and a lot of mediocrity. I haven't heard the latest. |

Fuck yeah you do. But start with either the self-titled or Transcendence. People tend to shit on Strange And Beautiful and Astronomica, but I don't think they're that bad at all. They are different, however. Anyway, looking forward to what this band does without Geoff. I think it's been clear for a long time that the other guys have been unhappy in the band. It'd be nice to get an album somewhat closer to the older stuff. |

First two albums of Crimson Glory are timeless pieces of music. Midnight was awesome back in the day. |
