I remember noodles posting about the awesome Portrait. Here's another band, Sweden's In Solitude that's along the same lines. Checking out their stuff on youtube. Classy.

Awesome band. I have their s/t and it fucking rules. Good old heavy metal similar to Mercyful Fate indeed. Listen to it !!!

Yeah, it seems that Sweden suddenly gave birth to an unexpected group of elite Mercyful Fate worshippers. In Solitude, Portrait, RAM and Ghost have all released amazing albums in recent years and they're all bands with only one or two albums under their belts. So I feel this is only the begining of a very promising and talented scene.
