Sounds fantastic! :dio:

If it interests you, Mirror of Souls was re-released with the Japanese bonus track, "Wages of Sin," on it. If you don't want to buy the full album again (those few here who actually buy albums), there's a limited edition 7" single for the tune with a non-LP b-side called "Theocrapella," which doesn't sound serious. Haha.

But you can score those here: http://www.ulteriumstore.bigcartel.com

I haven't been too impressed with their self-titled. We'll see how it compares to it.

Album preview sounds cool. Don`t know whay I avoided this band but from a few songs of Mirror of Souls I heard today on Youtube I think they`re alright. Too bad the release is almost on the same day as Nightwish.

I have to agree with you all, great record, this is the first Theocracy album I listened to and what a surprise. I expect a big score for this fine piece of prog/power metal.

Very good record, not sure if it is great yet, have to give it more time. Its funny, Ive had it for 2 weeks and I think just last Friday I actually made it past the first song. Now THAT song is friggin amazingly well done. After listening to that, its hard to not be dissappointed a bit by the rest (undeserved, its just that the first is so good).

Completely agree. Vocal harmonies at their best.

Yeah, give it more time. The first track is definitely the best that Matt has ever written/recorded, maybe the best he ever will. It is one example of the only "flaw" with the album: It was made with the songs first in mind, so the album can be difficult to grasp if you're trying to hear it as a whole. Give each song a chance on its own terms and they each begin to shine in their own way.

Interesting take. After thinking about it while spinning the CD, this makes sense and I agree.

The rest of the songs are really coming into their own, better with each listen. I think it would be easier to digest if "I Am" were the last track instead of the first. That way instead of starting off on the highest note and trying to recover after, you work your way up to it with "fuck, they saved that for last?" being the response. Similar to The Odyssey from Symphony X.
