I'm talking about Axxis' Father Father, from the album Doom of Destiny. Call me stupid, paranoid, or on the contrary über-naive to question the obvious, but isn't there a double meaning here ? Isn't this song ambiguous... dubious, even ? Quote: Father, father grant me a wish now
I will be nothing but your child - tonight Once you saw angels flying In the sky above our heads They looked like pretty creatures Staying with the dead Hey you think - they're not evil Why are you scared at night? Keep your head beneath your pillow Sh - don't make a sound! Father, father grant me my wish now Oh let me ride on the wings of death I will fly with ravens scared by devotion I will be nothing - nothing but your child - tonight Oh - catch my breath as we're flying Hand in hand in my dreams Take me high - even higher Welcome Lady Death! Say your prayers, fallen angel Close your eyes night by night You shall get what you wish for Take me with you, raven eyes On your final ride tonight! Father, father grant me my wish now Oh let me ride on the wings of death I will fly with ravens scared by devotion Into the deepest never-ending night Holy Father, Holy Father, please forgive my sins and deeds Holy Father, Holy Father, please forgive my sins and deeds Lord of mercy, will you hear me, nothing but your child... Father, father grant me my wish now Oh let me ride on the wings of death I will fly with ravens scared by devotion I will be nothing but your child Next we will see Axxis cover the infamous pedobear song : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAHfZNPoLW0 |

I really enjoy axxis. Its strange they do a good job of mixing hard rock/AOR/ and Power metal, yet if Edguy attempts it they are bashed to hell????? I admit vain glory opera and theater and hellfire are classics, but even edguy does a good job of fusing this sound together. AXXIS is some exsquisite tasting cheese metal for sure. I really enjoy their melodic sound |

AXXIS is some exsquisite tasting cheese metal for sure. I really enjoy their melodic sound Yeah, but Axxis are epic, serious about what they do, and have a talent for writing catchy music. Newer Edguy do it in a "Hey we're wacky and write wacky melodic music' kind of way. |

Yeah, they're great. It's a pity they're pedophiles :( |

Not pedophilia, just creepy German religiousness. |

Sounds like a song about scared child (or adult reduced to a scared child) wishing for death? I'm not seeing any pedophilic inferences but then again it's not something I go looking for. |
