Man this band is awesome. The singer reminds me of the guy from Dragonland and Dream Evil but sans the gayness. The music is also heavy, epic, and extremely well written. I highly recommend this band, and especially their last two albums, to any fan of Fates Warning, Heavy Epic Doom Metal, and good metal in general.

Really? I've always steered clear of this band because I was convinced, from their name, that they're doom-death, a genre I've become bored with. Guess I was wrong, maybe I should check them out.

The vocals are actually really good. Much better than Dream Evil and Dragonland.

Hey now! I totally agree. While Heaven Wept are fantastic!

And they're definitely not doom-death. I think I described them here in the past as being "happy doom." Haha.

Their name does suck, it reminds me of a hot topic band. BUt the music, oh the music! This is some pretty epic shit. It sounds like it's either being played from the depts of the ocean, or from the top of a mountain and is reverberating in a deep valley below. Really epic music. The vocalists is also quite awesome. They write some truly great vocal lines.

Havent heard anything before Lachyrmose, so I don't know what the back catalog is like, but this album for sure is awesome.

I'd describe the music as epic doom with power metal influences, personally. But yes, fantastic band, I can't wait for their new one in April. :dio:

I love While Heaven Wept. They are very underrated; however I am not putting down any euro-power metal regardless of how often it is cloned :)
WHW is a great band no doubt

Not to threadjack, but has anyone heard Heathendom? They're another doom band that mixes in power metal, though they lay on the power metal a bit thicker than most.

Fuck...seems they have a new one out. How did I miss that? Seems to be way more power metal than Nescience and their demo.

Thanks for bringing this album to my attention. It is indeed a great album. That first epic and lengthy track is frickin' sweet :dio:
