Seriously, the guy should just shut up and move on in life. He chose to quit the band and now the band wants to continue without him, so he has a problem? What a whiny ah. I am no DT fan, but I really hope their next album without him is among their most succesful.

Well, it's more of the same drama really, isn't it? Portnoy's been whining since he left the band - why he expects the others HAVE to listen to him is beyond me.

Mike is being an arrogant prick. I hope he doesn't come back after being a backstabbing fucking asshole about the whole thing. He leaves and is pissed off by the reaction? Fuck him.

I just wish DT would hurry up and announce who the new drummer is and get started on their next album. MP should just move on DT isn't about him anymore and there's no need for all the drama. The others wanted to continue and didn't need time off, he's the one so involved with other acts but his ex band mates still have to make a living also.

Interview with LaBrie. Portnoy doesn't seem to be coming out of this at all well, but then again, I thought Dino and Burton were in the wrong over the Fear Factory mess so who knows.

Seems to be a pretty nice chap. The other band members have definitely been more dignified than Mike.

Man there's a lot of animosity in this thread. :blink:

Now that Portnoy's been booted from Avenged Sevenfold (and rightly so), and was refused from rejoining DT, maybe we'll see some more Transatlantic stuff. Here's hoping he gets back on the Prog train, anyway, it's where he belongs.

And yeah, I'm hoping the next DT album will be the best since ToT. :dio:
