May I just say that the new Halford is the biggest waste of time and money EVER!! This album is laden with juvenile lyrics and I can't help but think that Rob is now writing music to be adopted as Nascar and UFC themes to add a few bucks in his pocket. C'mon man!!

The video for the title track is eerily similar to the new Iron Maiden song. Halford was better before he started developing his "Metal God" brand. Now he just sucks. Tis a shame.

From a tactical point of view, it kind of is... A lot more than UFC anyway...

I haven't heard this album yet, but umm... Is anyone surprised that Halford's lyrics are juvenile? I mean, wasn't the last time Priest had lyrics that could be called "decent" on Stained Class, about 32 years ago?

How's the music?

I hate the whole pseudo intellectual / political / social streak in (some) metal these days; its Heavy fucking Metal, just bang.

Give me some Exciter - Heavy Metal Maniac or go fuck yourself, sez I.

Goddamn right. Nothing wrong with good lyrics, but that's not what I listen to Judas Priest or Halford for.

Haven't listened to Exciter in a while- Heavy Metal Maniac is a good plan.

Precisely... it's actually next on my playlist.

Canada's finest hour (more or less), though I'm sure some will disagree.

I disagree... Rush 2112 is Canada's finest hour by far. But Exciter is really good.
About Halford, if the music is good, fuck the lyrics.

You obviously don't understand football if you think its as simple as throwing the ball down the field and running.

I understand it puts me to sleep.
Break it down for me, then.
Show me how it is this high toned strategic event that takes a lot of brains.

Lets see if I can get this: QB gets the ball, while the defense try to protect him from getting pummeled; pressed for time, QB looks for a guy that is open, i.e., doesn't have a guy on his ass and has a somewhat claer path to run throuigh; QB throws the ball, hoping to get a completion; guy with the ball tries to outrun his pursuers to take it to the end zone, thus scoring a TD.
Oh and I guess you have the math involved with field goals, yardage and downs and so forth...
oops, almost forgot the plan of "you zig this way, backtrack and zag that way, thereby baffling our opponents with Machiavellian levels of deception while he looks at the place you are supposed to be but aren't because of our devious cleverness" or "go long"...
give me a break.
Don't pretend that you are watching something on a par with chess, because it's not. Hell, even hockey is more strategic than feetsball.
Enjoy it for what it is without any pretense of grey matter being involved; mindless entertainment.

Trying to analyze the strategic depth of a sport is silly unless you know the sport inside out.

The point, for all you sharpies that seem to have missed it, is this:
implying that NASCAR and the UFC is strictly from Bedrock while sporting an NFL av is too fucking ironic. Plastic snobbery is what it is.
Is there some strategy involved with football? I reckon there is, but it ain't chess; more like checkers.
Am I going too fast here?
