I just got done listening to "La Danza del fuego"and "La Cruz del Santiago", and I'm hugely impressed by the band's material. Does anyone have any recommendations to bands that sound like them, or an album that's better than "Finisterra"? |

Not a big fan of this band but IMO their best album is "Jesus de Chamberí", its their most consistent, the others have some good songs (like the ones you mentioned) and the rest is horrible, oh and they love to bastardize classic metal/rock songs in their albums too, in fact i'd stay away from anything post finisterra. Oh and nothing to do with the music but these guys are a bunch of prima donna assholes. |

Jesús de Chamberí, La Leyenda de la Mancha & Finisterra are the only good studio records (and Folktergeist the only live acceptable). Keep away from the rest of their discography. If you want to listen to real good spanish heavy metal (in spanish), try Baron Rojo, Angeles del infierno, Muro & Panzer. Not folk elements, but heavy at fuck. |

I like finisterra best, but overall, this band does not have good albums, but they do have a collection of excellent songs spread throughout the albums from mago de oz to finisterra. |

Vhaldemar is a good speed-power metal band and they are finally releasing a new album after a few years. OF course Dark Moor for me the kings of spanish heavy metal. I did like the new track i heard off youtube from vhaldemar (Killer guitar work IMO) here is a link to the new song Old Kings Vision http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAEyxgE1sbo |
