 Post subject: Steelwing - NWOBHM-influenced Swedish metal

A new band (formed in 2009) playing heavy/power metal with a strong NWOBHM influence. Their debut just got a 5/5 review over at The Metal Crypt, and after listening to some of their songs on Youtube I can easily see why. This is just incredibly catchy and energetic stuff :dio:

Almost as good as Enforcer's Diamonds which is an achievement.

Agreed, but having witnessed their live show, I must say their in personam heavy metal assault is quite devastating. Unfortunately, they lost about half of their quality in the studio.

for a few minutes in that Katana song I thought I was listening to some Maiden circa 1980, but then I snapped back into reality.

I too read about their review in metalcrypt.com. Checked out that link. This is pretty promising. Good 'ol pure heavy metal. Impressive.
