Lately I have been quite bored listening to the same band and what is worst is knowing that out there there is great bands i'm missing out.

My favorites bands:
Wintersun
Equilibrium
Moonsorrow
Blind guardian
Children of bodom (the first three)
Kiuas
Nightwish
Ensiferum
Edguy
Orden ogan

Other bands I like:
Dream theater
Suidakra
Dark forest
Eternal tears of sorrow
Vader
In flames (the first two)
Kamelot
Mithotyn
Rhapsody of fire (few but still)
Slough feg
Bolt thrower
etc, etc...

To summarize: I like it melodic if not symphonic, harsh vocals and blasts beats ftw, black metal infused and a touch of folk is always welcome. Forgive me for my bad english and thanks in advance.

P.S. Please dont recommend generic melodic death of any kind

It sounds like Bal-Sagoth is missing from your life. Should be perfect for what you're searching for, I think, they're easily one of my top five favorite metal bands.

You'd probably also dig Gothmog:

Yeah, Cthonic Chronicles is great, probably their least melodic though along with their debut. The Power Cosmic is my personal favorite, and Starfire Burning Upon the Ice Veiled Throne of Ultima Thule is a close second.

You might wanna check Whispered - a mix of Children Of Bodom and some Turisas singing about samurai, Bushido and stuff like that. The songs they have on MySpace are the better ones from their debut. Faceless is my fav. Not perfect but you might enjoy it.

Other bands to consider:
Turisas - MySpace - Battle Metal is better than The Varangian Way imo but the cheese factor is high on both.
Ancient Rites - MySpace - Everything from Rubicon rules so check that album first.
Dragonlord - MySpace - Similar to Dimmu Borgir and Keep Of Kalessin.
Finntroll - You MUST know about them. Pure awesome. Just in case you don't - MySpace
Hollenthon - MySpace - I'd go for With Vilest Of Worms To Dwell first, then Opus Magnum.
Kalmah - MySpace - Their new album is awesome.
Stormlord - MySpace - Ignore The Gorgon Cult - that album is plain bad, but Mare Nostrum put the band back on track.

Almost all of the bands I mentioned fit in with your summary of what you are looking for.

So far, bal-sagoth and whispered are the definite highlights. Out of all the good bands you guys came up with, they are the one who achieved with the greatset sucess the following :Thechnicality and brutality combined with a good use of orchestration and clever melody usage. Wow those two bands are something. And I just decided to give a real listen to rotting christ to realise I love it :D

I'm gonna be putting the Burning Earth EP up for free at some point soon. The band's splitting up sadly, and the new stuff we've been working on isn't going to be released for various reason :(.
