I've been following their progress on facebook. I'll bet this album is on par with ANATO. I'm so pumped for it.

Whoaaaaaaa, this sounds kickass. :dio: I feel bad that the only Blind Guardian album I've neglected to listen to is A Night At The Opera.

ANATO is not a classic album. And it's quite unfortunate that they are going with this over-produced sound again.

H_T, you may as well not even bother. You already made your own thread announcing your distain for newer Blind Guardian. If you care to comment on nothing other than the "Overproduced" sound and refuse to pay attention to the quality of the songwriting, then do it in your own thread, but I'm fairly certain metalNESS doesn't appreciate your purist attitude in a thread he created for the fans' benefit. I sure as hell don't.

I think H to the T is funny.

I say let him continue complaining.

Holy Terror's comment was so predictable and yet still funny, and the responses were golden!

I imagine a poll titled: "Is ANATO a classic album" would get something like a 37-1 response.

Predictable is the correct word to use for H to the T. I new exactly what he was going to say even before I posted this thread. Anyway, I still can't wait for this.

The clips I heard did not have the same type of production as ANATO (which I thought was a bit too thin and mushy).

Sounds good to me.

I had forgotten how clever all of the over-produced power metal fan boys are. I hope Tobias Sammet does a cameo on the album, then the album will be ready for air time during kindergarten recess. I hope they write a song about a wounded unicorn, gee that would be swell.

Because writing songs about The Lord of the Rings is that much different?

It's not different at all, but it's very clear that they've run out of ideas so they overcompensate by throwing everything possible into the mix. Nightfall in Middle Earth was the pinnacle of their creative abilities. They tried continuing in that vein on ANATO while failing to realize that adding more vocal layers and more guitar parts actually took away from the music. Long story short, they shouldnt have continued making Nightfall-esque albums, espcially considering they have run out of good song writing ideas.

God, I hadn't seen this. Can't say I'm suprised though. If my not liking over produced metal is predictable, then it is equally predictable that brainless comments like this would come out of your mouth....or fingers as it were. The smiley face doesnt subract from the stupidity. How about this? I'll commit suicide when you pull that bad natured-sarcasm-laden stick out of your ass. It's never more evident that you have no good argument than when you start a fight with a comment like that. I'm correct in assuming this is a fight because you rarely have anything intelligent to say when someone is attacking something that you're a hopeless fan boy for so you opt for petty insults and thinly veiled attempts at clever quips. I applaud you for your consistency, however ridiculous and stupid the rest may be.
