Don't know if this is the right place for this, but why are there no reviews for either of the bands CD's on this site?

Ok, that question aside, does anyone actually listen to these guys? They're freakin' awesome. If not, you're missing out.

They're synth based (as in actual synths, not fake orchestras) power metal, and pretty good at what they do. They have a lot of gaming references as well which is a plus :).

I downloaded a song from their site years ago (5 or 6), and it was very good, but I can't remember the name. It's a fuckin' shame, I blame weed :P

Supremacy fuckin' owns. I really like Dark City from their latest album, and of course Through the Looking glass from Redeemer (Underground edition, the remix sucks).

Some of their earlier songs (i think you can download them for fre btw) is really good too, Especially "Hero".

A few months ago they played in my home town, sadly I could'nt go to the show.

I think the whole Overworld album really sums this band up. It's really fun, upbeat, well constructed, and I love the synths. Tracks like Need For Steve really stick out to me.

And the Gimme More ( Sid ) song is a great cover.

Kinda surprised this hasn't received more replies.

Alexander, they're definitely different than 5 years ago... I'd get a hold of Overworld or youtube some tracks. :)

Skrot, that sucks you didn't get to see them. I bet they kick ass live. I don't really know how often they hit the states, so I don't think I'll be seeing them anytime soon.

I first heard about Machinae Supremacy when I was reading some oldschool retromagazine and saw they performed some Commodore 64 medleys on Scandinavias biggest computerprogramming gathering, Assembly festival, a few years ago. They performed a medley of some old Commodore 64 games that really kicked ass. Retrogames go speedmetal, really cool idea ...

There is even some kind of music video on youtube of these tunes with actual gamefootage from the games included in these medleys which is rather cool:

I guess younger people will say, good damn those games look awful, but they sure the hell had some great music! The same channel has also orginal soundtracks from these medleys. Never really gotten into their own material, it's ok, I suppose, but I would have hoped they would have stayed in the computer videogames goes metal section in which they were undeniably the greatest.
