![]() 01- Vamphyri 02- The Astral Pathway 03- Fear Circus 04- Undead 05- Archangels In Black 06- The Fifth Ankh 07- Codex Oscura 08- Twilight At Dawn 09- Getsu Senshi http://www.adagio-online.com/ Its has just been released...and i like what i have heard so far....... I wouldn't of gone with Fear Circus for the first single release...a better choice would of been ... Vamphyri or The Astral Pathway ... Nice artwork... |

Vamphyri is, by far, the best track here. Not a bad album but it's not up to the first two. I still miss David Readman's voice. |

I'm pretty pumped about this. I loved Dominate (as well as their previous work), which includes the old vocalist. I'm not sure about the new one. |

![]() +1, and I rarely get impressed by modern covers. People responsible for stuff like Holographic Universe or Night Eternal take note. |

I was really looking forward to this album however after listening to it briefly I am not very happy about it. It seems like its the weakest Adagio album to date. I just feel that there is something missing here and I need a few more listens to know what that is. Having said that, Forte is amazing as usual. |

Having said that, Forte is amazing as usual. I had a feeling... I'm still hoping for the best though. |

I'm still hoping for the best though. I have that feeling too. I think what's missing is the epic feel to the overall album. The first track is an excellent starter but the rest is nothing but short power metal tunes that don't wear the Adagio-mark like those on the previous albums did. Adagio is kind of turning into a generic PM band and that's just sad... |

I totally disagree with that statement. The new album isn't the best Adagio, and the new vocalist is the worst of the three (we all miss the wonderful voice of David Readman), but saying that Adagio is heading towards a generic sound is wrong. Forté is getting heavier with each release, and a bit less complex in their songwriting, but never generic. I would rate Archangels in Black around 80-83. It's a very good album, no more, no less. |

If they keep on "evolving" the way they are, I fear the future's going to prove me right but, trust me, I hope I'm wrong. |

I really hope time proves you wrong Lucy. I agree that Adagio is going downhill since Readman left the band. It's very sad. |

I'd have to disagree here, "Dominate" didnt feature Readman on vocals but it still was a brilliant album (possibly as good as Underworld and Sanctus Ignis and definitely not a step down). However, this new album is very different and sounds more commerical (or at least as commerical as Adagio can sound like). |
