Quote: Our upcoming release is actually more like 2 albums joined at the spine. A split with ourselves, if you will. Both albums are between 30 and 40 minutes long, and have different feels, titles, cover art, logos, etc.
One album is called "Fields". The other is called "Church of Broken Glass". They will be released at the same time, as a double CD digipack through Profound Lore records, and as a double gatefold vinyl trough 20 Buck Spin. The release is scheduled for sometime in October 2008. We should be playing some shows around that time. Tracklists: Fields: 1. The Fields Trilogy: a) Agriculture b) Fields c) Motorcade 2. Rats Assembly 3. Always Looking Down 4. Too Soon Church Of Broken Glass: 1. Almost (Left Without You) 2. Butchertown 3. The Gulls 4. Church of Broken Glass 5. Train http://www.myspace.com/hammersofmisfortune :] i hope their new singer is in the same league as Mike Scalzi.. which will be hard since Mike is amazing |

Fuck. I downloaded two free tracks from each part respectively. I can't remember where it was from, possibly from their label. The tracks were decent but not as good as their older stuff. |

The August Engine and The Locust Years are both great albums and worth checking out. |

You can hear two songs from this at their label's site: http://www.profoundlorerecords.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=14&Itemid=33 On first listen, they sound good, but not amazing. I'll have to listen to them a few more times. All I really know is that I'm buying this. Mike Scalzi is gone, and that sucks, but as long as John Cobbett is still around this band should continue to kick ass. Oh and heatseeker, you definitely want to start with The August Engine. |

Interesting songs, sounds like they're still going in a more 70s hard rock/prog direction. |

listened to this. i'm not sure if i like Jon Cobbett's growing love of keyboards and rock opera, but overall it makes me quite happy except for the lack of Mike Scalzi. |
