My vote goes to Death or Glory. Running Blood, and Marooned are quite possibly two of the greatest metal tracks of all time. Simply amazing, Running Wild can't boast having ever written two better tracks. The rest of the songs on the album range from excellent to quite good. Running Wild was never a band that released any albums that were breath-taking, however, Death or Glory comes pretty close. So that's my take on it. Opinions? |

I'm for Pile of Skulls, personally. Fist Full of Dynamite, Black Wings of Death, Treasure Island... Though really, you can't go wrong with Dead or Glory. I agree that they're not exactly a breathtaking band, but they've nearly always delivered on fun and kick ass speed metal. WITH PIRATES! |

Hey Brahm, check out the new Harbinger song and tell me what you think. You're metallic opinion is valued. |

Under Jolly Roger, for me... Was my first RW, and the tittle song, Beggar's night, Raw ride & Raise your fist are great songs, and the other are very good too. Death & Glory will be my second pick. But any Running wild album has a bunch of great songs. |

I'll have to go with Black Hand Inn. Except the slightly overlong ending track that album just smokes all the way through. |

I can't choose between Black Hand Inn and Death or Glory, so I guess I'll have to say it's a tie between the two. Awesome band. |

I'll have to disagree, IMO the first 8 Running Wild albums are masterpieces, so of course i think that Death or Glory kick some serious ass, Running Blood, Marooned, Tortuga Bay, Bad To The Bone, this album is fucking ace!. Of The first 8, Branded And Exiled is my favorite pre-pirate RW, and Pile Of Skulls from the pirate era simply because of Treasure Island. Call me crazy but for me Running Wild are on the same level as Maiden and Priest, one of my favorite bands for sure. ---------------- Now playing: Running Wild - Mordor via FoxyTunes |

I have to agree with Adam here: it's a tie between DoG and BHI. BHI has the better production and the tight drumming of Jorg Michaels, but DoG has that wonderful 80's sound to it, and the songs are more "playful", varied, and it has the monstrous Riding The Storm as an opener. So its one of those 2. An excellent band for sure , although after BHI they got more predictable and the songwriting became uninspired. (not that they were changing the sound every album until then, but it seems to me ideas began to run out). |

both Death or Glory and Under Jolly Roger are great, but UJR is much shorter(and i really like short albums), and on DoG there is that instrumental track which i always find myself skipping. but anyway Marooned is so fucking great! ![]() |

Can't decide between Black Hand Inn, Pile Of Skulls, The Rivalry or Under Jolly Roger. Plus I could also include Blazon Stone and The Brotherhood to the list as well. Running Wild just kicks ass in my book and I'm currently putting together a "Best Of" compilation for this band...and obviously more than just one cd will be needed... |

How come I've almost never heard of this band? I should get Death or Glory. |

Same as OP. Running Blood, Marooned and Tortuga Bay are 3 of my 5 favorite Running Wild songs (the other ones being Black Hand Inn and Raise Your Fist) |

I would have to say I agree with alot of the folks on here and say Death or Glory as well as Black Hand Inn are top notch... They are one of the type of bands where you can't just get a few of their albums though, you have to get 'em all... |
