In my opinion, it's Ozzy's last great album... Songs like Mr. Tinkerman, No More Tears or Hellraiser are just kick ass! :dio: And the ballads like Mama, I'm Coming Home or Time After Time are damn beautiful!

What's your opinion?

I've just realised that I've never actually heard an Ozzy album. Love the Sabs, obviously, but never actually tried Ozzy. What album to start with, Blizzard Of Oz?

Ha! Thread hijack'd!

Blizzard Of Ozz for early Ozzy and No More Tears for the more modern stuff.

I think it's the best Ozzy album.

With BoO, agreed.

In Between for me. I almost chose Miss though. It's definitely not as good as his classic earlier works but it's not as bad as his later either.

Why is there an "in between" choice for these threads all of a sudden anyway? It's kinda a cop-out choice if you ask me.

Because, sometimes, an album isn't either hit or miss...

The last great album by Ozzy. The albums he released after NMO is average at it's best.

In Between. Despite the fact the title track is godly, a lot of the other tracks are absolutely forgettable.

But then that kinda defeats the purpose of a hit or miss thread, doesn't it?

Definite Hit! My favorite Ozzy album, with No Rest For The Wicked coming in second.

Mr. Tinkertrain, I Don't Want To Change The World, fuck just about every song rocks except may be Hellraiser (that's just me, though). My three favorites, however, are probably Mr. Tinkertrain, S.I.N. (Shadow In The Night), and Time After Time.

I can't stand Ozzy, and even I like this one. I can even agree on the slower songs, which I find very strange.

Hit. A great album after some mediocre stuff. His 3rd better, imo (I really love Diary of a madman, and BoO is a masterpiece).

My OZZY top three:
1. Blizzard Of Ozz (1980)
2. No More Tears (1991)
3. The Ultimate Sin (1986)

My OZZY bottom three:
1. Black Rain (2007)
2. No Rest For The Wicked (1988)
3. Down To Earth (2001)

I like it quite a bit. A hit for me.

Lemmy's songwriting really helped out a lot.

It was the last chapter of the ozzy story as ar as i'm concerned, though ozzmosis had a handful of good songs.

"See you on the other side" is quite good, but the rest of Ozzmosis is ... meh

No Rest For the Wicked. I'd say its the only consistently good Ozzy album. Though you should also get a greatest hits for all the really good songs off his other albums.

As for NMT- like all Ozzy albums (except for the last two, and NRFTW, which is great all the way through)), there are some really great songs and some really bad ones. So, this gets an In Between (nice new option, by the way); like most of Ozzy's solo career, its perfectly mediocre.
