I'm about to bid on a Maiden album on eBay: X Factor. It's the original - my question is, is there a reissue with extra guff like the earlier albums?

Japan edition comes with a 2nd disc with the following bonus tracks:
1. Justice of the Peace (3:34)
2. I Live My Way (3:48)
3. Judgement Day (4:02)
(source Metal Archives)

I knew that, but you know the older albums which have been remastered etc - IS THERE ONE OF THOSE FOR THIS?

I think I remember seeing one... I may be wrong though.

Yes, it has been remastered... The original album date is 1995, the remaster is from 2002.

Thanks. I don't like buying originals if a reissue's available.

I've never looked at the extra stuff in my Maiden CDs, to be honest, and I hardly ever listen to bonus tracks on reissues. Only album where I bought the special edition over the bog-standard one deliberately was Ghost Reveries, and that was 'cause of the special packaging. Oh, I do have Nyphetamine on special edition too. Bonus tracks on that one are actually worth listening to.

What matters most is if the sound is better on the remastered version. On X Factor, it's just louder...

I can't seem to find this remastered one on Amazon.

Not calling you a liar, or anything.

Since when am I American?

This is the results from Amazon UK:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h ... n+x+factor

I think your one may be a US-only thing, as it said the original was unavailable there.

Same thing, yes. I've bid (bidden? bidded?) on it anyways, so thread effectively over.

I bought the remaster in Turkey and on the CD it says that it's been imported from the UK.

Actually, I tend to have the exact opposite opinion. I sometimes find reissues to lose a lot of the original's nostalgia. That's just me, though.

It was not re-issued along with all the other albums with the Eddie face on the spines. Those were done in 1998 (I think...), the hyear Virtual XI was released, but they stopped that series of re-issues after Live at Donington.

I'm not sure whether it has been re-issued since, but I don't think it has.

You're right. Hails.
