Vision Divine have issued the following statement:

"Michele Luppi is no longer singing with Vision Divine.

Beside any speculation which could be done regarding the truth behind all this, we simply believe it was the right time to both make the right choice.

We wish Michele all the best with his future and we thank him for the great time we had together."

In an update, the band state, "Any scheduled activity will be accomplished, and there won't be any delay in our plans.

The new singer will be announced on May 1st .

Please stay tuned for more news in the forthcoming days."

Dry your teary eyes. Dime-a-dozen singers can be replaced in a weekend. They'll be fine.

You're trying to hard to "get me" and you're looking like an ass. Never have I said it's not okay to criticize a band. Look at Stefan's comments about King's X in the review forum. That's relatively negative, but it's not shit-talking.

By me saying an ex-vocalist was run-of-the-mill and will easily be replaced is not talking shit. It's a simple statement about a singer that simply isn't irreplaceable.

Although a good 50% of your posts here are about music, the other 50% is spent whining about other posters. Perhaps not shit-talking by the strictest meaning, but it is sometimes shit having to talk to you, which is a shame.

Yeah, so about Vision Divine. I could really care less. The singer was nothing special, I wish they would get the original line up for Labyrinth back together. Then they can start making some not so generic power metal again.

Lets hope Olaf hired the guy from Morifade. They would really fit in well with VD. I'm hoping this will make things better. Luppi was an incredible singer and [his first two] records with VD are my #2 & #3 records ever. He will be sorely missed. I too hope VD gets A guy like morifades old singer or someone else like Labyrinth's singer on RTHD. If you thought Michelle was mediocre. Please listen to the demos featuring Fabio from SOC. Its no contest as to who is better.

And Labyrinth isn't gonna happen, Olaf has different ideas than the rest of those guys. Olaf is the one that wanted to make albums like RTHD. The rest of them wanted to make crap like what's been coming out as of late. If you guys like Labyrinth, seek out the first two VD records. I like them a lot too, so much more that ive heard lab. stuff and can see the bridge between them.

Ohh, and I think Fabio is too busy to do Lab. again. More like Rhapsody won't allow him to do it. Read the liner notes to SOC for more information.

And a good 98% was about music in the past.

It's cool, though. I came back here because a few people kept asking me to. I thought it would be cool to maybe re-enter this arena with a different attitude, but of course the second I joined some of you mods had to go revealing that Afro Lint was old Eyesore. Then immediately I was on the defensive because others just like to play games and throw tough guy e-punches.

This forum is simply no longer fun. It's a joke, in fact. I used to defend the forum and ask Chris and Mike and them not to remove all the forums except the Review forum. Now I think they should remove it all. Don't worry, though. I can't imagine I'll stick around here much longer. It used to be a time-waster while at work. Now it's not even worth that.

About Metalness' post: You strike me as a guy who cherishes good/excellent singers. Let me express my sorrow for you not "getting" Michele Luppi. He is one of the greatest singers to emerge this decade. For me, he is the only one who could walk the road paved by such greats as Michael Kiske and Geoff Tate in the late 80's, early 90's. Check out AGAIN the masterpiece Stream Of Consciousness and/or the live DVD(with the usual overdubs... i'm not denying this) and then we talk.ML sadly chose the AOR path, which I like, but it doesn't translate his talents as well as metal music. And eyesore: your post was a cheap blow, 'cause I know you also like and recognize talent and I don't get you defending your rather "rushed" posts "to the death" Only my 2 cents.
