Any other Montrealers hear about this? Its going to be completely bloody awesome.

Iron Maiden's headlining day 1, Motley Crue day 2. Lots of good bands, like Overkill, Symphony X and Shadows Fall and Anthrax- more not so good bands, but what can you do? June 21st-22nd will rock the casbah.

Are there actually any other Montrealers here? haha.
I'd be really interested in going, I'd probably only go for day one though.
But the larger issue would be to get there, as it's a 5-6 hour drive.

Greyhound bus it. It'll be a longer trip, but its pretty cheap and definitely worth it. And if you come for one day, definitely come for the first- it says there are more bands to be announced, but I definitely hope the second day gets some better stuff (though its nice to see Shadows Fall back in Montreal after... 3? 4? years... the last time was with Dimebag a few days before he died).

A round trip from here to Montreal is almost $200.00. :P
Well yeah, I'm not a huge fan of any of the bands on the second day, so I'd be down for the first day.
We could totally meet up! :D

I would love to go. I live in Nova Scotia but I made it there before for Nightwish, its happening at a shitty time for me though, so it would be cool if they did it again next year or something.

It's true. This festival is at a seriously bad time for me.
It's the weekend in between my exams. :lame:

Fo sheezy! I plan on meeting and drinking with every single possible metalhead I know/don't know over those two days.

And damn.. It sucks you guys have exams then. But I think we all know that in the end, Iron Maiden is more important than school. And they're educational! Learn about Alexander the Great! Study the Rime of the Ancient Mariner! Reminisce about the white man's slaughter of native Americans in Run to the Hills!

We're reading Wordsworth and Coleridge in English Literature so I introduced my teacher to TROTAM and she said; and I quote:

"What is this death metal bullshit?!"

I'm going for sure.

I've got the money, I've got the time.

Brahm we are getrting wasted. Hopefully there will be a Habs game on to watch them beat up on someone and then we can argue over who knows more.

God I can't wait.

Oh and Dethklok will be there?

This is the first metal fest in Croatia ever! Band list is quite modest so all of you who have big festivals in your town shut the fuck up. It takes me 3-4 hours traveling by train to get to Zagreb. And it costs me an arm and a leg.

At least she knows the term "death metal", which is more than I can say for any teacher in my country.

Which seemed to think that death and black metal were the same thing.
