If you haven't heard, Kiske is covering some of his Helloween classics in an acoustic fashion.Samples available:

They're surprisingly good! Kiske has such a great voice, I find it to be very pleasant to listen to. I didn't expect these to sound as good as they do, I might have to pick this album up.

I'm actually very disappointed from those samples. They sound so one-dimensional it becomes boring in seconds. I'm a huge fan of Michael Kiske, and even of his less popular works (I love Chameleon) but this is not what I was expecting or hoping for. Even his voice which is usually very powerful, rich and beautiful sounds like a monotonous whine on those samples. I'm just hoping that the final mix and production will be different because if that's the finished product then I'm predicting another huge fail for Kiske.

Yeah, his voice is definitley still there, but he struggles on a few notes. Still, dumb idea and I wish he would just realize his voice doesn't fit this style of music.

I actually thought the samples sounded cool. It's unfortunate that people yet again will put this guy on trial because of these songs. They're exactly what he said they were going to be.

I just don't think he fits. It's isn't like I was expecting it to be anything even remotley close to Helloween, I just think he needs to do what he's good at. It's not like he writes the metal music he sings on.

But have you ever listened to a Helloween ballad he sang on and thought he didn't fit?

I've never been a fan of ballads.

I've never been a fan of ballads.

Your woman would love you more if you changed that.

No, I'd have to like John Mayer and The Dave Matthew's Band for her to love me.

To me it sounds exceptional. I'm a HUGE Kiske fan-boy, but still it's amazing to hear him sing 20 years old songs with such conviction and ease. And it sounds sooooo much better than his last acoustic album. I'll definitely pick this up. Go Kiske! And another project like Place Vendome would be very welcome.

I love Dave Matthews Band. Give her my number. John Mayer is just a second rate turd, totally copying Mr. Matthews.

Yeah, this sounds unexpectedly good. A Little Time especially seemed very cool. It seems there is still some magic happening when you put Kiske and old Helloween compositions together. This makes me more interested into that new project of his with Hansen and Grapow. Any news on that one, btw?
