Out of all of the Deris era Helloween this is my #1 favorite because it has a diverse range of songs from all out power metal like Push to mid tempo rockers like I Can.This is underrated and doesn't get the props it deserves.

So hit for me.

For the longest time I hated this album but now I actually think it's decent. Once I started to skip 'Push' when listening to BTR it got much better, that song seems to wreck the entire album for me.

Still I'd probably consider it the worst Deris/Helloween album.

Why does it seem every few years a new Deris-era Helloween album emerges as "the worst"? What happened to Rabbit Don't Come Easy being the worst? That's the album everyone slammed before. Now lately there have been a bunch of comments on different forums talking about how Better Than Raw is a bad album. Before, this was considered by many to be the best one! Weirdos.

Better Than Raw was my favorite Helloween album in general, until The Legacy came out. Now that's my number one.

And fuck you, The Dark Ride is totally overrated! But it is great.

It's a so-so album. Some great songs, some average ones. It doesn't get much play time with me, compared to other Helloweeen albums.

Same as Old School. I like it, but it's rare I take it with me over any of the other ones. Rabbit or the new one are my favorites.

And by the way Kenya I really like Pink Bubbles. I've been listening to it a lot lately.

Miss. The Andi Deris years in my opinion have only produced two good songs. Wake Up the Mountain, and Where the Rain Grows.

Not hit nor miss... I really don't listen a lot of Deris' Helloween. And when I do, I listen The dark ride or The legacy...

I prefer listen to walls, keepers I & II.

And Pink bubbles is not as bad as everybody says, it's a good album (not a masterpiece) with one of the best songs in Helloween history, Mankind.

And for me the dark ride is not overrated, it's the best Deris Helloween album.

And windmill?

I think Chamaleon is long, sad and boring. And no song is near Mandkind or Kids of the century.

Definite Hit. My absolute favorite Helloween album. How could you possibly go wrong with A Handful Of Pain (especially that Arena Rock-like chorus with those female backing singers) or Revelation? Oh fuck. Every song on this album rocks!

I didn't say it was a masterpiece either

And I'll put Giants and I Believe above Mankind and Kids Of The Century.

Forget the poll?

Hit for me. The first Helloween album I heard and I tell anyone who would ask (like, 1 guy so far) that it is definitely not the album to start on. It's weird, probably the most extreme example of that multi-layerd quasi-prog thing Helloween have been doing on and off for years now. There's a couple of weak moments here and there but it is a great album, no doubt about it.

Midnight Sun guitar solo :dio:

Hit, no doubt about that. The first Helloween album I ever heard, plus the album that got me into power metal in the first place. It has one of my favorite Helloween songs too, "Laudate Dominum". One of the coolest songs ever. Other fav songs on that album would be "Falling Higher", the epic (and hard!) "Revelation" as well as "Midnight Sun" (the solo, as Radagast already said)!

Hit

One of the better Deris Helloween albums. I like Better Than Raw then the previous 2 Deris albums (Time Of The Oath & Master Of The Rings) and on par with Rabbit Don't Come Easy. Not as good as The Dark Ride but better than Keeper- Legacy.

But none of their other albums comes close to Gambling With The Devil

Helloween must be awesome, because everyone has different favorites. That's the sign of a great band.

Yeah that's certainly true.
