Anyone else agree that this album is an absolute masterpiece? It seems largely forgotten about but I fucking love it! It's like the early Sabbath but with Dio influence unlike the Heaven and Hell stuff which was nothing like early Sabbath. Seriously, I bought this album like 4 weeks ago and I've probably listened to it 50 times; still a 93/100 or something like that for me. Go Dio!

Yep. A fucking masterpiece. I don't see why many if not most people diss this album. Not a single weak track and one of my fav albums of all time. An absolutely brilliant album !

Dehumanizer doesn't live up to the Ozzy era or the first two Dio/BS.... An average album.

Excellent album, but it doesn't touch the Tony Martin masterpiece Headless Cross...for me the Dio, Martin, Gillian days are n times better than the Ozzy albums... but hey IMHO, don't want to start a flame war, just wanted to express my admiration for Dehumanizer and the rest of them.

It's definitely a good album, but I wouldn't call it great.

"I" and "Computer God" are two of Dio's most ferociously delivered vocals - ever. Add 3 or 4 other really good songs, and all and all it's a very good album. There are a few skip-overs for me though.

Very good album, but not really at the level of Heaven and hell, or the great ones of the Ozzy years.

Partially agree in that Headless Cross is just as great. That too is one of my fav albums of all time. I find the Ozzy era of Sabbath to be pretty average. I prefer Sabbath with Tony Martin to all others. Tony Martin is one of my fav vocalists. Sad he just, well, faded out. I understand he has been singing in other bands too and his solo album Scream is out. But, he hasn't made much of a name for himself, like say, Blaze Bayley.

Well maybe that's because his voice also "faded out" with him. Sadly. he was in Romania some years ago, and he sang The Headless Cross, and man was he off...wow (picture Dickinson on the Somewhere in Time tour and multiply it by 10 :):):):)). I couldn't believe it was him. That's apparent from as long ago as Cross Purposes - 1994, where his voice also was a looooooongshot away from what he had sung 7 years before.I still love the album though...:) and Tony is also my favourite BS singer. But Forbidden was crap, he got fired again and he took a long pause. 2005 he released Scream, and it's not a crappy album but hey, compared to HC...

Tony Martin sounded great in Empire. No it's not Metal, but it's really good Rock music, and his voice sounded in good shape there.

Since you don't like Dio it makes sense...

It doesn't compare to early Sabbath really but who cares? As a standalone album I was so surprised at how good it is I nearly shit myself.
