Anyone else heard of these guys? They released their debut album Lux Aeterna recently and ever since I got it two days ago I've been hooked. They sound like some weird Grave Digger, Evergrey, Symphony X mix. I can't really put my finger on exactly what they sound like, but it's a really solid album.

According to this review they apparently are unsigned and released their album on torrent for people to download, which is pretty cool. It's definitely a great way to get your music out there. I know it made my 'to buy' list for sure.

Check 'em out and tell me what you think, you can listen to a couple of full length tracks on their website:

Wow, I love it. It's great how more bands are releasing their albums on the internet.

I just got this, but I haven't started spinning it yet. I'm looking forward to doing so though, and this will surely arrive to Metal CD Ratings soon...

Glad you like it. The track Omega is probably my favorite, pure awesomeness.

I gave Lux Aeterna a shot, and it seems like they could be a truly legendary band if they played with more confidence? It seems like the vocalist is a bit timid, and the band as a whole feels a bit restrained. Great nonetheless, but with a bit more presence and power they could be propelled into the limelight.

A friend from Canada recommended these guys. Very good, indeed. Not mind-boggling yet, but pretty promissing. Some parts sound just great whereas there are still some moments that come as a bit unbaked.

I've now been spinning this regularly and I think it's quite strong; incorporates a variety of styles (both musically and vocally) too.
This will be fully reviewed on Metal CD Ratings for sure, most likely by my fellow colleague John.

Here's fellow colleague John's review (rated 3/5):

.... I think he did a great job of describing the CD. Personally, I would probably rate this 3.5/5 though. I like it a lot.
