A new-ish power/melodeath band from Glasgow featuring two former Syth guitarists (Syth have split up :'( ). Epic as hell.

You can see my full take on them here:

To bad Syth broke up, they could've been a damn good band.

This sounds pretty kick ass too.

Well apparently Syth's final ever gig next Friday might not be their final ever gig after all. Here's hoping. :)

Burning Earth: very cool.

Well if you want to try and get a hold of it, you need to send them an email or a myspace message. They're unsigned so you won't find the EP anywhere else.

Ah I didnt realise they were unsigned. That perhaps makes it even more impressive! Will do, cheers^

Incase anyone is interested, we're attempting to get onto the Bloodstock line up using their Metal to The Masses competition, and we'd appreciate the support :).

Quite impressed that someone started a thread about us though!

Cheers!

Cool. Good luck man. If you come to the states I'll support you. :)

BTW, Rad, I was just about to ask you what this bands name was.

Thanks, it means a lot :). If we manage to get through our heats for this it'll be an online vote, so maybe you can help with than </hint>.

Oh aye, if anyone is from Scotland and happens to be in Glasgow on the 6th of May, our heat for it is on at the Ivory Blacks.

You can now buy the EP through the nice, safe Paypal link on their myspace [/plug]

See you on the 6th, Speedy!

Yeah I've seen you a couple of times now (I know Baz reasonably well from the Syth days). Missed the last few gigs for a variety of reasons, but I'll do my best to make it along this time.

ALESTORM SUPPORT @ IVORY BLACKS Glasgow, Scotland

Haha you guys are going to show them up big time, you're way better than Alestorm

Thanks a lot man . I'm actually gonna be on stage longer than them as well, another one of the bands I play in are supporting them :D.

Also, seeing as I'm using this thread to whore us about, we're planning to record a sort of downloadable single (and maybe a video to go with it) in the Summer. I'll try and keep you all posted about when it's goning to be up for grabs.

JOURNEY!!! :dio: :dio: :dio:

Enjoyed the gig man, new material will need a while to bed in with me, though. I ended up not sticking around to find out the outcome (as usual with Ivory Blacks it ended up running so long I was in danger of missing my bus), glad to hear you got through.

Cheers man, glad you enjoyed yourself :). The gig on the 25th is an 8 band bill, only in Glasgow outside of festivals! So it should be... interesting... to say the least.

We didn't actually get to play the set we wanted, The last song wasn't supposed to be a new one, but Martin was having grief with the drum kit falling to bits :S.

Sorry you never got through, and good luck finding a new guitarist.
