Post subject:  New domestic powermetal radio =)

I usually go to the gym in the evenings and they always have the new domestic radio station Radio Rock playing and I am very positively suprised with what a breakthrough this has been for foreign powermetal bands. Sure Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica and Nightwish has always been the most played bands on commercial radio stations in Finland, but we have NEVER heard any foreign powermetal artists. Sure there has been metal-specific radioprograms that have played some, but never during other regular musicshows.

Last time i was in the gym i heard: gamma ray, helloween, edguy, iron savior, freedom call, avantasia during the time i was doing a workout together with some good goth metal bands like to/die/for, 69 eyes and subway to sally!Actually I think Helloween's "As long as i fall" is the most played song on their playlist for the moment and I've heard Gamma Ray's "Heaven or hell" at least 3 times.

The good news for foreigners is that you can tune into this radiostation on www.radiorock.fi. Let's hope this will help Helloween to get the final breakthough in our country, I will certainly help them in their quest and buy their amazing "Gambling with the devil" the first day it appears in the shops.

Post subject:  Klaus Flemming metalradio

Watch out weekdays between 20-22.00 (finnish time) when Klaus Flemming is hosting the program. On Wednesday and Thursday there is specific melodic metal radio where he only plays powermetal. On Monday and Tuesday there is traditional metal a la Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dio etc... however no matter when I listen to this station there appears to be some nice music.

Hehe, I knew they had some good stuff going on but I mostly thought it was pretty random. Now listening to station online, seems pretty cool. Gonna listen to this a bit more, thanks!
