My gf bought me "Sonata Arctica - Silence" for our 2 year anniversary, which actually isnt until 27th, but she wanted to give me something real bad for some reason. I've heard MP3s from this album and it was good, but listening to it as a whole.. Just wow, this band was amazing, what happened on the last 2 albums? It feels like they have nothing else to say, like they are uninspired.

Wow. Couldn't agree with you more. I didn't even buy Wreckoning Nigth after hearing my brother's copy of it. They juts lost their will to write good music.

No Way Reckoning night is actually a comeback for Sonata especially after the mediocre Winterheart's Guild. Reckoning has a nice blend of mid-tempo, slow and fast songs. Shamandalie, My Selene, Wildfire, White Pearl Black Oceans, Blinded No More and Don't Say a Word are exceptionally good. Granted it doesn't top Silence or Ecliptica but it is worthy of Sonata. Can't say as much for WHG which was extremely disappointing. Be fair and give it a couple of spins before judging it, it has a more progressive side than before so it needs the extra spins.

Those were the only two I was missing from having BG's entire catalogue. I love birthday money.

NO WAY!!!!!

I have been meaning to buy that album since day 1. I finally downloaded it and after one spin I made my decision. That is by far NR best album. I think it even has classic status, if it was a little older.
