Not really, because I listen to Iron Maiden, Metallica, Emperor, Darkthrone, Def Leppard, Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, Velvet Revolver, Sepultura, Megadeth, Dream Theater, Rage, AC/DC, Slayer, Grave Digger, Waltari, Judas Priest, Trivium, Bullet for my Valentine, Hypocrisy, Cradle of Filth, Paradise Lost; Dragonforce, Testament and so on. Many different groups with very different styles.

But I don't like if a band changes their style dramatically, because most of them get worse.

Best example: Paradise Lost. From a great Gothic Metal Band to a mediocre Depeche Mode clone. Or Megadeth/Metallica: From great Thrash Bands to mediocre Heavy Rock groups.

There is a reason why all of them are going back to the roots today....

So you like BFMV, but not mid-period Megadeth.

Actually, Paradise Lost went from an amazing doom band to a pretty good gothic band to utter crap. If they really wanted to go back to their roots, they would put out a kickass doomdeath album, which I doubt will ever happen.

I only despise them because they're trying too fucking hard to be Metallica. As I said countless times before, I don't care about a band's popularity. For example, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin are popular. They still have tons of merchandise and the like. What sets them apart from crap-acts like Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine, is that they deserve this popularity.

I don't know who the fuck they are, I listened to one of their song when i was pissed drunk and that was it... The name always made me not want to look for more...

i was expecting some ridiculous over the top emo shit with metal guitar harmonies when i listened to Bullet for My Valentine but it was just like alternative rock/pop punk with screaming???? so disappointing

I think that Bands like Trivium are the reason, why old Thrash Bands go back to their roots. Trivium and BVMV brought the solos and thrash riffs back to the mainstream audience.
