well,i like Dream Evil, and never really cared for Dream Theater, but i downloaded Octavarium and it's kinda sub par

Ya i went to avenged sevenfolds website and listened to "Beast and the Harlet." It sucked. Very badly. The first few seconds actually weren't that bad but once the singer opens his mouth it was downhill from there. And the chorus. I don't know what to say about the chorus but it made me physically ill.

These ppl were metalcore at fisrt, i guess they decided to leave that sound and turn to more traditional power metal sounds, well i heard a couple of songs, dont like the guys voice either,

Only deserved an 80, I reckon.. drags a little in places and they didn't have enough good material to take it to 75 minutes.

I disgree, they'res plenty of great material on this one, it took like 7 listens to appreciate it. It's not Tyranny, that album was on another level, but this album is a worthy follow up. The concept is powerful, the music is great and the only part i can complaint about is the instrumentals halfway through, but then again is Shadow Gallery, they always have such songs. I think it all depends on musical taste, i love this album.
