I don't find this difficult at all.

Painkiller
The Rage
Heading Out To The Highway

They may have a lot of songs I like. But they're the pick of the bunch.

Let's go for:
Beyond the Realms of Death
Helion/Electric Eye
Painkiller

But really there's too many to choose from.

oh my, I can't believe you said that.

I'm sure Grinder, Metal Gods, Hell Bent for Leather, Delivering the Goods, Rapid Fire, and Runnin Wild have something different to say.

Yep. Just like Ram it Down, Killing Machine and British Steel are deeply inconsistent albums. They have great songs, like the ones you mentioned, but a few songs from both albums being great don't mean the albums themselves are amazing. They also have shit like Living After Midnight, Take on the World and United, and average songs like Breaking the Law, Metal Gods, Burnin' Up and Evil Fantasies. Ram It Down's great songs meanwhile get severely underrated partially because people assume it's part of the Turbo era, when it's not. It's proto-Painkiller, and I'll take songs like Ram It Down and Hard as Iron and BLOOD RED SKIES over British Steel's best and songs like Heavy Metal over BS's average songs like Breaking the Law.

I couldn't agree more. I've never been a fan of the more popular 'radio freindly' JP songs. Ram It Down, Hard As Iron, and Blood Red Skies, are highly underrated due to being on the Ram It Down CD and being so closely linked to 'the Turbo era'.

I prefer Turbo or Point of entry over Ram it down.

 Fucking snobby metal fans.

British Steel is a classic full of classic songs. Including the classic Living after midnight.

Godforbid something becomes a hit.

Yes. Because I clearly hate all songs that are hits. Which is why one of my favourite Metallica songs is One, Run to the Hills and me are the best of friends, and I really like Priest's arguably biggest hit, You've Got Another Thing Coming. And furthermore, that's why I included Priest's #1 hits like Take on the World and United in my list of songs I don't like by them. Sorry to rain on your parade, Fatpom, but like Raven, I mainly like Judas Priest's poppier, radio friendly songs, but I don't think that they're anything special at all. And I still maintain that Living After Midnight just sucks, but we'll have to agree to disagree there.

This rambling reply doesn't convince me, snob.

I will somehow have to learn to live without your approval. GASP.

I don't think Ram It Down is really special as a song. But the solo, just slays. It is just as good as the one in Painkiller. Since the topic of earlier Priest came up, I am not sure if I like earlier Priest that much. I have seen someone mention that Killing Machine is inconsistent and I agree. But I also picked up Sin After Sin and thought it to be just ok. Now, I am thinking whether I should pick up Stained Class or not.

Stained Class is probably my favourite Priest album. I agree that Killing Machine and to a lesser extent, Sin After Sin are inconsistent, but I don't think you can say the same thing about Stained Class. Exciter, Better by You, Stained Class, Saints in Hell, Savage, Beyond the Realms of Death and Heroes' End are all awesome songs, and Invader and White Heat, Red Hot are both good.
