At risk of being the unpopular one, I hope Dragonforce never change. I hope they never play in a new tempo.
I hope they never stop using video game effects.
I hope they never write a song with lyrics that actually mean anything.
I hope they never stop throwing blast beats where they don't belong, and I hope they never stop starting chorus' with the words "On the wings of...."

Dragonforce are the most utterly ridiculous band on the planet and thats why I love them, and if i can't tell the difference between this new album and the last one, thats part of the insanity and part of why i love them.

I hope they never, ever change. Keep rocking that ridiculous fantasy world of yours, boys.

I actually agree...the only thing I hope they change is the lenght of the songs. Their style works for 4 minutes, nor 7-8. I think the single version of "Through the Fire and Flames" and "Operation Ground and Pound" are better than the album versions.

Yeah, I see that coming too. However, I'm kind of tired of Dragonforce and I think everyone sorta is.

I'm not. SO FAR AWAAAAAAAAY WE WAIT FOR THE DAYEEAYAAAAY.

:P

Looking forward to the new one. I know they're not breaking any new ground with their records... But you know... I like what they do and don't mind that they're not changing it up. :: shrug :: Sometimes I just like the uber fast power metal.

Cellador rock I'd rather listen to bands like them and Stormwarrior anyday over Dragonforce for fast metal.

I listened to it again, the demo version, and it's nowhere near as good as I remember. Still their best tune, but the album version was lame from what I remember.

NESS: I actually didn't know about Cellador until I hung out with a friend of mine a couple weeks back who said he used to know some of them or work with them or something like that. It's pretty solid stuff, I've never had the chance to see them live or own any of their albums.

I've just heard a few tracks. Honestly I was surprised that a local act here was a power metal act, much less on metal blade.

Yeah, you should go to their next show. Chris (the guitarist) is a good friend of mine and my brother used to sing for them, so I am at every show they have (in Omaha).

I don't listen to them. That doesn't change the fact that they suck.

That is one of my favorites. :dio: And the reason it sounds so much like DF is because Sam Totman plays on that album, and Steve Williams (keys) was in Dragon Force before they were Dragon Force.

BTW, Bill Hudson from Cellador is now in Power Quest... lol!

Why should they change their style and music? There were hundreds of bands which were changing their style in the 90s and 90% of them went worse.

Everybody wished that Megadeth would put out another Peace Sells or Rust in Peace - what if they had put out records like this after 1990? They would be bashed, because, they went stale...

What do you want? Good records every 2 years, or evolution? You can't have everything...
