Fucking leeextrae! I don't feel that Brainstorm and shit are straight up power metal. I think they're more traditional metal with power metal elements. I won't argue that point, though, unlike you who will argue that Strato aren't power metal.

I would agree with Eyesore with Brainstorm. I too feel they are more traditional metal, leaning towards melodic, with some power AND prog elements.

I would agree you don't know what the f*ck you were talking about but not argue with you because it is hopeless.

I think there are going to be MANY exceptional power metal bands in the future and existing ones are finding ways to get better! Power metal is rolling... 8)

In a perfect world Cage would be the next big thing in power metal, but then again if it was a perfect world Celtic Frost wouldn't reunite (yuuuuuuk) :P

You're so annoying. If you're saying Brainstorm is more power metal than traditional metal I'm going to have to agree that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Do you live on the island with the Lost castaways where nothing makes sense? Are you a Nickelodean kid where every day is Opposite Day?

Fuck yes they were. You think Kill em All is thrash? Listen to it, you think Ride the Lightining really is? Hell no, is a logical step up from the NWOBHM and what inspired True Power Metal. Hell I think I read some where that Metalica even called their music Power Metal way back when. I would just call it all true Heavy Metal but you all insist on labels for everything. True Power Heavy Metal is not your average Fairyland band. Sorry but it isn't, no matter if ever person on Metal Reviews says it is, it isn't.

Why should I have to give up on my opinion and follow the herd? I don't understand why everyone has to think alike for it to be considered intelligent and openminded?

Helloween? Speed Metal, Gamma Ray, same thing bro. Anyways that is what I always heard them called until the internet and Metal Archives taught you all what to say.

You know, you've got a point. Early Sodom's Power Metal too!

I've noticed that your (leeee) saying true power metal now and refering to the US style. I always refered to that US style as true metal, and the european style as power metal, so i kind of agree with you. Theres a clear distinction between the two styles, but they are still both power metal.....but metallica is not.

They're all great styles of metal and we should be thankful (and surely are) that we've had so much great music for nearly 30 years. :D

Style descriptions will vary (usually only slightly) from person to person and shouldn't be taken critically. Most reviewers do the best they can with the descriptions, that's what's important.

...just my 2 cents. 8)
