I still think they are just a trendy joke band wether they play "heavy metal" or not.

Well, no one was trying to convince you to like them.

Exactly.

they're okay, deadly sinners was a good song, but after that they all started to blend into each other and I got bored... maybe i should give it another go.

Make sure you get Wolfs Lair Return if you get some Grand Magnus, it is their most trad Metal and not as Doomy as their other ones.

Hate to nitpick, but it's Grand M-A-G-U-S. And yes, they kick ass. Their best album, however, is Monument. Wolf's Lair is their worst, though it's still pretty good. What's so wrong with being "Doomy", anyway?

Have you ever checked out, Martyr, Augury, Gorguts, Neuraxis etc?

Magus/Magnus, whatever you all are the most anal about spelling forum on the net.

I don't like "doomy" so that is what is wrong with it. That is what annoys me about it, they could be a really awesome trad metal band but fail. I just figured others here would dig it and I respect what they are doing.

I know Gorguts, have seen them live a few times. Not my thing but they are good at what they do. I will never check out any new bands, I am too old and set with what I like, but thanks.

It makes me wonder why leee is even here if he's not interested in new bands.

I like to read reviews and talk about stuff I like. Why do I have to all the sudden like new bands or go on a hunt for new stuff and generes to expand my taste? I don't want to? I know what I like? I am always open to some new Black Metal or Goth stuff if it is good though. So mostly when I come here I scan some reviews if I see they are from those Genres and I haven't heard of them before.

I don't know, it's like going to a different restaurant every night just to order a cheesburger.

Didn't mean to be "anal". Since Zad wants to check them out, I just figured he should have the right spelling in hand. So chill out.

They are much better as a trad/stoner doom band and "Monument" is as good of evidence as any.

I'm kidding, I thought about that and you are right, god knows what he would have ended up buying.

Okay I goatta say this how is 3 inches of blood a joke band? Not my faviourite by far but they are a good listen the lyrics are classic power metal. Its like a pirate or medeval war thing like Iced Earth or Blind Guardian lyrics what's wrong with that? Also we got people dissig Canadian metal like what the hell Annihilator, Exciter c'mon. We all know German metal is better :P (Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, Tankard, Uppercut) but c'mon man open you mind a bit, thrash and bang your head the riffs on A&V give you an abilility to do that. Now they are not my favourite band they are not gods like so many but they are worthy of defence.

Were talking about 3 Inches of Blood, not Annihilator, Exciter (dont bring these guys up around leee), Kreator, Destruction, Tankard, Sodom, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian. WTF? Go back and learn how to "writting". God.

Oh yeah 3 Inches of Blood is awesome, can't wait for something new by these guys. And Canada now officially hates leee, you come here and we will take you down with our powerful snowballs and our thrash metal superiorority!

But if that makes me happy does it matter really?
