LORDI WIN EUROVISION!

Just finished watching it on tv. I had a feeling Lordi would do well...bout time a hard rock band shook things up at eurovision. Not only did they win, but they won by a heap...292 points, about 35+ off the next country.
Hopefully Finland will now just have metal bands to represent them in the future. Did anyone say Twilightning?

Ha ha, fucking hilarious shit!

I was in Solid Rock Cafe last night and they had it up on the screens (volume down for all the other acts). The thing that surprised me is that the song is actually half decent! They're not a proper metal band, but I like Kiss and Alice Cooper and they work nicely along those lines.

this song (and the whole Lordi repertoire actually) sounds like Alice Cooper in the 80's (Poison era) with a little harsher sound and rawer vocals... not what I'd call a metal band (more like hard rock) but, still, it's good they won !
