What do you mean new Primal Fear? You mean Seven Seals? There isnt much difference with that album to their others...a more matured sound, yeah. So whats wrong with all their other albums?

the solos ARE the only good thing about Dragonforce, but that doesn't mean they need more of them. They need the ability to use them well rather than in the most repetitive, predictable way possible. BTW does anyone even know why they released more than like 3 songs since they all sound the same anyways?

How the hell did Dragonforce suddenly fall into the hands of Metalcore Emo kids everywhere? That one stumps me every damn time I think about it.

Sorry but their solos are just awful, absolutly no taste at all. They repeat the same lick over and over, and have the same boring rythem behind every one of them that i've ever heard. Repetitive and boring and far far to long! If i wanted to listen to and album with great solos it would be To Hell and Back - Sinergy, a very under rated album.



I think thats Metal Hammer and Kerrangs doing, freaks me out too.

But, dammit, why Dragonforce? Do these magazines randomly pick obscure band names from a bowl or what?

I know first hand from people in the music industry that the record companies pay for every bit of review and interview space in all of those type of mags. My thoery on why the Road Runner has hyped DF rather then other better PM act is

1. They are young (for a PM band) and youth sells.
2. From England, has a tradition of exporting bands to the US, and the Record company wants to cash in on this the biggest market in the world.
3. Because of their speed. A easy selling point, as well as their talents on the guitar.

It really annoys me to know that some guy in a suit somewhere is deciding what the masses listens to, rather then the people writing the reviews.

I guess this is just an opinion, but Seven Seals is one of the best power metal albums i've ever heard, for it's maturity and originality. Their other albums are inferior to it, and far far more of a priest clone.

It is an interesting phenomenon indeed. Just for the record I don't really mind these emo kids, they seem pretty harmless to me. The only thing I noticed at the show last week is that these Emo/Hardcore types don't really get into the band. They just kind of stand there. Man, when I go to a concert I am there to have a good time, why the fuck would you go out to some place if you were just gonna stand around with your hands in your pockets? Scream, yell, head bang, FUCK do something!

The only thing Herman Li is better than Jeff Loomis at is speed...
