Me and my friend Matt were listening to Metal Massacre III the other day and this song came on by a band called Sexist. It was produced by Don Dokken and Mike Zaputil from Agent Steel plays bass on the song. Its fucking killer and I can't seem to find anything about the band. Has anyone heard of them?

I recently bought all nine MM albums, and the collection album, from Sentinel Steel for like $30. Killer deal.

EyeSore,

It seemed like you and yours wanted to know a thing or two about us '80's idiots.

Remember, we released our stuff before internet or CD's......trippy.

By the way...Letchen Grey was the full line up of earlier Sexist. We were buddy's with all the "South Bay" Los Angeles bands....Ratt....Great White....Guns n Roses.....Poisen.....Warrant....etc....

Ha! It's all I can do at work. =)

I actually hadn't given either band much thought until someone posted this thread asking questions. I went and did a little digging and that's when I stumbled on the Letchen Grey stuff. I liked it, so I hunted it down.

I really need that damn record player. I keep buying vinyl.

One night in Hollywood, Mark Andersen (sexist/letchen grey guitarist) and I got a ride home with Dokken and George Lynch and crashed at Dokken's house in Redondo Beach.

At that time (1984/1985) Alan Niven--manager of Great White--was living with Dokken. That's when/where we met him.

Niven later took us on in addition to Great White and got us a deal with Greenworld Records (and getting us a plug in Playboy magazine in July 1986 [if you can get your hands on that issue, we're in there])

Then Niven sits us all down (Great White and Letchen Grey) and tells us he's taking on another act to manage...saying he sees potential even though they have a dumb name.......Guns & Roses. Of course they left us in the dust after a few shows. But it was cool to play the clubs and for our encore have Axle Rose come out and sing a Zepplin tune or somethin'

Where the hell is Mike? He'd love to hear these stories. The 80's ruled!

So tell us, Mr. Blackmore, what are you doing now?

This is totally bizarre. Someone posts about some obscure 80s band that appeared on one of the classic Metal Massacre albums. No one really knows much without a little research, and nine months later one of the members shows up to clarify a few things. Man, the Internet is a wonderful thing!

Maybe I should start a post on 3rd Stage Alert and one of those guys will show up to tell me what he's doing these days!

Haha. Yeah, it is fairly random. At least this proved my point that bands do read these forums! Haha.

If i were famous I'd run a daily google search for myself, just to find out if I'm dead, or gay, or going to marry lindsay lohan....
