Screw you and your site! I don't really believe that, but it seems like other people say it so I' figured I'd join in.

Your site reminds me of a "Hey! Look what I have!" site. :D I was thinking about doing the same thing, not sure what I'd call it though since my collection isn't all one style.

Actually, about 95% of the feedback I get is positive, so I'm quite happy with replies usually... 8)

Here is a portion off of my "profile":
"Reasons I created the Metal CD Ratings site: To support metal (specifically power metal) in general, and help fans with deciding which CDs to get, through providing information/reviews within a strict rating system."

I for one really like Clint's site. Its very informative and concentrate only on power metal which is also my favourite genre of metal. However, I sometimes disagree with the ratings given. Power Quest is a good example. The band have not progressed in 3 albums and Clint raves about them. Well I guess personal taste is one thing but to let it interfere with your objectivity is another. No hard feelings Clint, you are doing a great job. Keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback Blade! :D
You're right, nobody will agree with ALL of the ratings, and the ratings/reviews (as with every site) should be taken with a grain of salt.
That said, I feel that since there are only 5 reviewers, getting into the tastes of each reviewer should be fairly easy. I recommend thoroughly reading the "profiles" and frequently glancing at the "playlists". If you understand each reviewer's tastes, it's very easy to relate them to your own... thus giving you a better feel for the ratings/reviews.

As far as Power Quest, something about this band really grabbed me with their 2nd CD. We all have those bands that are "special", and I consider one of those bands for me. 8)

I appreciate the feedback very much... :D

Power Quest rules! They are actually one of my favorite bands. The third cd is catchy as hell. 89/100

Exact same thing happened for me too. Their first and second CD are pretty good, but there's something about the 2nd release that just keeps that CD in my all-time favorite. To be honest, I can't really explain what it is, so I'll just blame it on the songwriting.

Tons of great power metal out right now, and much of it has arrived to the Metal CD Ratings site! 8)
http://www.metalcdratings.com

Here are some of the titles that have recently arrived:
Nightscape - Symphony of the night (debut!)

Thanks about that ! Good info... :)

I just discovered this band and I was VERY surprised of the quality !!! I really like it and for sure, I'll check out for their next material...GREAT band !!!

Btw, what do you think of "Iron Mask" ? I only heard about 2-3 songs of them, but I think they're quite good, too...

Their debut is OK, but I think they really took a large step forward with their 2nd CD. There is a full review for it on the site. 8)
