School me. Can you get viruses and ridiculous amounts of spyware with Torrents?

No, just get torrents from well known sites.

DC++ is by far the best (in my opinion).

If you like slow speeds yeah.

If you like downloading at 100k+ most of the time, use torrents.

and no, i've never gotten spyware or a virus from a torrent.

I don't know what hubs you use, but in a 100 gb+ hub that I am a member of, I often download off of people at speeds of 150 kbps or so. I use Torrent files when something comes out, but if it is a pretty old album, there are hardly any seeds much of the time.

I really want to hear this but the damn firewall my school has filters all p2p out. PM me and we'll work something out with file transfers.

Downloaded the new album today. Great stuff! Will be buying it when it's released.

Anyone looking to d/l the promo should just use tht torrentspy link on the first page.
When I used it this morning, there were 40+ seeds and my speed was at 40+ kb/s :) , a far cry compared to my usual speed of 1-5kb/s :( ...

I've got 7MB/s+ from DC++ at best. It's all about the source user. The metal hub where I occasionally lurk has many users with 10/100Mbit connections.

I've been listening to "Inhuman Rampage" now and it seems to be "Sonic Firestorm Part 2" which is not a bad thing. Nothing amazing, but solid and fast Power Metal that one can listen to even not interested in the genre.

It goes fast because it's a fake or corrupted file and DC++ packs it easilly while downloading. Never happened to me, but then again I never download video files.

There is no Cannibal Holocaust 2 (at least yet) by the way. You probably mean Schiave bianche: violenza in Amazzonia? It's worth seeing as sleaze but not very gory.

Gast: Nice speed. You must have over 100Mbit then?

Yeah, there's two films marketed as "Cannibal Holocaust 2" but that's just so they would sell more. The other one is Natura contro, and neither one of those have anything to do with the original or Ruggero Deodato. Deodato to is said to make an actual CH 2 in the future though. Interesting to see if it comes out. And you are lazy.

I didn't think they'd get any faster, but they did. They also seem to have gotten a bit better at the making the guitar sound inhuman during solos. I guess that's where they got the name. Like on Cry for Eternity and The Flame of Youth... those guitar leads/solos are just the god damn coolest thing I've ever heard. Drums are absolutely mindblowing. I was told about some guy who gets credited for the blast beat, and all I can say is "I bet you he doesn't do it THIS good." Definitely a lot more keyboard, at least, a lot more upfront, but the focus still remains heavily on the guitars.

I'm missing some of the "in-your-face" production from Sonic Firestorm, and it seems like ZP Theart chose to control himself a bit, which I wish he wouldn't have. Some of the best vocal melodies on Sonic Firestorm were when he would just chorus really high notes (cite chorus of Fields of Despair). Also, some of the atmosphere has left, and I think its due to the production. I can't necessarily describe it, but on songs like "Once in a Lifetime" and "Prepare for War" I would just get really psyched up. Maybe this album just needs more time in that regard.

BT is the way to go for new releases, check this site out:
http://www.metal-torrents.com/

Use DC++ and others for older stuff that might not be on torrents.
