I dunno man, Andre Matos is a better vocalist than Falaschi... he was straining his voice in a couple of songs in Temple

anyone agree?

I voted Rebirth by mistake;i wanted to vote for Fireworks which i like a lot:it has vintage guitar sound(produced by Chris Tsangarides),many great songs(Paradise, Speed ,Petrified Eyes,Metal Icarus,Lisbon)...and not many people like this album although it's much better than Angels Cry for example.
The second best would be the mighty Holy Land!!!!

I've heard only Temple of Shadows but wasn't much impressed with it.
I'm thinking of hearing Fireworks now, since it's different than the other Angra albums, or so i've heard.

It's Temple of Shadows at #1 for me aswell, a great leap from an already great semi-debut (Rebirth). The solo in Shadow Hunter is pure poetry (05:03-06:20).
#2 - Holy Land, the best of the Matos era, and one of the top all time albums. I think this album has the most characteristic sound.
#3 - Rebirth, not as progressive as Temple but a truly enjoyable album. It's abit too "easy" to compete with above albums.
#4 - Angel's Cry, several good songs here, like Never Understand. Angra hadn't really found their own style here, it sounds abit generic Powermetal.
#5 - Fireworks, a good enough album to own but lacks in comparison to the rest.

What albums have you heard?

...and, why are you wearing a gas mask? :?:

Temple of shadows and Holy Land if I remember correctly. Can't remember anything being particularly "catchy", maybe I just need another listen, recommendations?

We were listening to music and drinking at a friends house and I saw the mask on his wall. He wanted to take a picture and the rest is history :)... I got tired with the old ninja pic anyway.

 Why does your friend have a gas mask on his wall?

Well if you can not get into those two albums you probably won't like anything else, but Rebirth and Angels Cry are both fantastic albums. I recommened Rebirth.

to protect himself when a drunken Phyrwolf farts maybe? 8)

Wow, skipped over this one.

Straining? No way dude. Actually he impressed me very much, not to mention his ability live. I've only seen live clips, but still much better than Matos who seems to be off key the majority of his shows.

Don't get me wrong, I like Andre Matos, but Edu is much better when talking about singing talent.

Well i think matos is a better singer than Edu,i mean Edu is great and he fits perfectly Angra, but Matos has a unique voice, very hard to find on today PM singers,I would recognize Matos voice even if he sang on a Rap album, while with Edu as talented he is, he souds pretty much like everyone else, and about he being better singer live than Matos, well i think Matos Songs are harder to pull out than Falachis,I mean Edus live version of Make Belive was just sad.Anyways Im not saying that Edu is bad singer and i do think that Matos was holding back Angra.

Come on man! Fireworks is way better than Angels Cry! Why did you put it in the last row?

Temple of Shadows IMO, as even though I'm usually a detractor of power-metal I found this record to be astonishing and i think it's better than Fireworks . but then again i don't know shit about Angra except that they are from Brazil. Andralls is from Brazil..... wrong forum for that.

My ANGRA list :
1.Holy Land 90/100
2.Temple of Shadows 85/100
3.Fireworks 75/100
4.Rebirth 65/100
5.Angels Cry 50/100 (average speed metal)

imo, Fireworks is a very fine album and largely underrated
