This has been discussed. I give this album a 95/100 easy. "Occassion Avenue" is the best Helloween song ever written!

Maybe (wierd ) as in its not a typical helloween song..

Ocassion Avenue is a very complex song, sounds near to progressive music... guitars are very heavy..The intro is good the dude with the Gandalf -ish voice is flippin through channels/stations lookin for Keeper and you hear Eagle Fly Free, Halloween and Keepers in it

It's unusual for a band to start off an album with an epic.Usually bands save the epics either in the middle or end of the album.

I think for most people to really get caught up with the album, a song like "Pleasure Dome" may have served it better as the first track, but that's simply because "King For 1000 Years" calls for your attention, you have to sort of immerse yourself in the song, whereas "Pleasure Dome" is simply straight up catchy from the get-go.

I think with them starting the album this way, both albums in fact, the statement is simply: THIS IS NOT THE HELLOWEEN YOU REMEMBER. I think they wanted a bold statement to start each disc off, they wanted to show the new side to the band. There are a lot of new elements they've brought into the mix on this album, mostly notable in "King For 1000 Years" and "Occassion Avenue." I just get a vibe that the band wanted to make a statement first and foremost because you know damn well this is going to be the most scrutinized album since The Time Of The Oath, and moreso than that album.

Personally, I think it's a good move because those two tracks are jaw-droppingly great! And I think I've said it a million times in the past two weeks, "Occassion Avenue" is the best Helloween song ever! :D

I am still of the opinion that the best Helloween release was Walls Of Jericho. Does anybody think so too?

It's definitley up there with Keepers II IMO. ALthough I sometimes just consider that a Gamma Ray album. Even though Wiki wrote half the songs, it still has Kai singing and Kai also took the cover art character with him for Gamma Ray.

No. Personally, for me, it follows Chameleon and Pink Bubbles Go Ape as the albums I enjoy the least. I'm not saying it's a bad album, or anywhere near Chameleon or Pink Bubbles Go Ape, I just think everything after that album (minus those other two) are just so much. I like the Deris-era material better anyway.

They need to remaster that album.

Walls of Jericho has to be my second favourite after Keeper II. Say what you will about shitty production and Hansen's singing, that album has balls. And heavy metal is about balls.

I just finished downloading Keepers III... I'm listening to King of 1000 Years, and enjoying it a lot. If the rest of the album maintains this quality, this should be one of the best albums of the year.

It's not released yet, though. Did you pre-order, or has it been released overseas already?

Ok I listened to the whole CD(or CD's if you want to get technical)well I must say a very good release from Helloween.

90/100

Standout tracks:

Occasion Avenue
Light The Universe
Do You Know What You Are Fighting For
Shade In The Shadow
My Life For One More Day
The King For A 1000 Years
Mrs God(Yes Mrs God it's still a good track dammit lol)

I must say it's pretty damn good worthy of being called Keeper Of The Seven Keys.

P.S. I could have done without the licking anus part of Occasion Avenue lol :D

After repeated listens, I give it a 78/100. There are some songs on here which are absoloutely incredible and up to Keepers standards- King for 1000 Years, My Life For One More Day, Pleasure Drone, The Shade in the Shadow. But its just too damn long. Some songs (Invisible Man, Occasion Avenue) go on for way longer then they need to and contain some really dumb parts, which is a shame because there's also some really good stuff in them. Some songs just shouldn't be on here at all; Do You Know What You're Fighting For and Come Alive are basically worthless. This would have been a great 55-60 minute album, but instead its a merely good 78 minute or whatever one.

This album seems to be touching people in a lot of different ways. Do You Know What You're Fighting For and Come Alive are two of my favorite tracks on the album, and Occassion Avenue, for me, is the best Helloween song ever written. I could live without Born On Judgement Day, but I've read other people say the song is brilliant. I've seen some people say "Get It Up" is one of the best songs on the album, I think it's the second worst (though still good).

I think it's definitely going to be an album that we will be discussing for a long time.
