Yeah...I finally got his album "Book of Reflections" last week and listened to it...well, I think it's doesn't reach the quality, magic and deepness of "EmOcean"...but it's not the same kind of music anyway, so I can't really compare the 2 albums. Anyway, the 3 songs he performed ("Let It Go" is the best one - vocally - I think...) are great because he's the one who sings them. They're the best ones on the album. As for the other songs, they are not bad, but this album is not my favourite one. Still, I like it more than "Mistheria", even though the guy REALLY has great talent playing keyboards !!!!! Incredible...

Have you listened to it (Mistheria) ???

Yep! It's also him who plays the guitar solo, which is very good, I think !!! I was kind of impressed !!! This song is very fast and I like the beat a lot.

Mistake. He didn't play the guitar solo...I just knew that it was a printing mistake in the booklet. Hubi doesn't play guitars.

Honestly? I'm not very impressed so far. I'm not very familiar with Hubi's vocals, but on the songs he sings on he sounds a bit annoying? Like...whiny and girly! Hahaha. I admit I haven't given it a full listen, but I will and I'll let you know! =)

I've always pronounced it "Hyoobie," not sure which is correct.

Very good album. Unique atmosphere, incredible keyboards by Lalu, and Meisel has really nice voice. Something between Thomas Anders from Modern Talking and Morten Harket from A-Ha. Very soft. The album deserves nothing less than 9/10. Beautiful piece of music. I hope it'll find its place somewhere in my TOP 10 2006

That album is...is...is...a piece of art, really !!! I almost fell on my ass after the first listening !!! Every single song is great - especially "Kailash - Jewel of Life" and "Wheel of Life" !!!!!!
I wouldn't say that I like the album BETTER than "EmOcean" because these are 2 albums too completely different. I like it the same...equally and it's the same fun listening to one or the other. Really, I think Hubi has such a special way to write his lyrics and pass the message, same as what concerns the production of his albums. It was so much work invested and here's the result ! Never disappointing. And of course, we should not forget to mention the incredible work of Mr. Lalu himself !! That guy ia just amazing !!! The whole KAILASH team (including Jorge Salán -new guits for this album) did a very great job and I really think it's a great quality album !!! Perfect sound. It's gonna take a while to drop a review for this one...hehe...

Just thought you'd like to know, Vikie, that Hubi Meisel will be interviewed on a local heavy metal radio show here in Australia. For those not living in the Melbourne area, you can download each weekly show, which goes for 2 hours. They play power and prog metal with traditional metal and some gothic metal thrown in.

The interview will be on this week's show, on tuesday. Once the link for the download appears on their website, i could paste the link in here, thats if you're interested, that is.
