Right, well I threw Anubis Gate out there because while more prog than power, they aren't prog in the hyper-technical sense.

A lot of people that don't really listen to much power/prog like them, not sure if that is a good sign or bad.

They really are a good band regardless of style, combining the catchiness of power with the mastery of spot on prog. Good stuff.

I absolutely love Dignity's Project Destiny. It came out in '08. But it is a crown jewel in Power Metal's crown as far as i'm concerned.

I thought Dreamland were outstanding too, but this is just another level of awesome.

Zonata. This band, so far, hasn't done anything much for me. But I did come across a few people appreciating this band. Gate Of Fear, so far is the only track that appealed to me.

IMO very good PM records from 2010 were also:

Rage - Strings to a Web
Charred Walls of the Damned
Fallen Angel - Crawling out of Hell
Masterplan - Time to be King

I would agree with that, to an extent. It reminded me of Nightfall (minus umpteen interludes), and I certainly enjoyed it.

Probably the biggest letdown for me was Kamelot. I was expecting them to bounce back from Ghost Opera, and instead I got another meh album. Hopefully this will be a better year than 2010 was.

Kamelot's last two have been painful for me. Actually, last three. Black Halo was boring as hell too.

Received both Keldian albums, and am very impressed with them. Also picked up Pyramaze's Immortal, and like it alot. Its sad that the band has had as much trouble as they have, because this is probably their best album yet. Barlow sounded so on his game on that album.

What problems do they have? I've been expecting the new album with Urban Breed on vocals for a long time...

I haven't heard it yet. I know its going to be killer though.

Also, a few more to add, Celesty - Vendetta is pretty good... and the new Strato sounds very promising.
