A wise decision. Now Halford can hopefully go back to designing haute couture with Gaahl.

Judas Priest is probably my favorite band of all time but all good things must come to an end. It is probably time to be honest. I was really happy with Angel of Retribution but didn't care for Nostradaemus. I'm just happy I got to see them live back in 2004.

Very saddened. Legends who made metal was it is.

As for Nostradamus - yes, it's almost unlistenable all the way through. But try this - make sort of an EP, with these songs (which I believe kick ass). Enjoy:

1. Pestilence and Plague
2. Exiled
3. Alone
4. Visions
5. Nostradamus
6. Persecution
7. New Beginnings
8. Revelations
9. Death

Priest is my favourite band, so this is quite sad for me. Still, I saw them the last two times they were in town, and the second time, they were definitely looking more tired, especially Halford, though the performances were still fine. No shame in them calling it quits after an amazing career, and I can't wait to see them this last time. But I also hope that this will simply be the end of touring and that they at have one more album in them.

Re: Nostradamus- FlicktheSwitch has the right idea. Nostradamus has some great songs on it, but is just way too long and pretentious for its own good. My cut:

1. Prophecy
2. Awakening
3. Revelations
4. Pestilence and Plague
5. Death
6. Persecution
7. Alone
8. Visions
9. Nostradamus
10. Future of Mankind

Hey Brahm, Heavy MTL 2011 headlined by Judas Priest. Yay or nay?

That would be awesome, but sadly, I don't think it's going to happen. The last two Priest shows I went to drew 6,000-7,000 tops- I think they try to go for bands who would normally sell out your average stadium of 15-20,000. Maybe for one of the days, or as a co-headliner... It would definitely be nice.
