So you review a killer album by a band most have never heard of. Then what? Do you suggest they go out an download the album?

Reviews on albums no one can find is kind of pointless. But many of those albums are available to download on blogs or whatever. But what if a label like Stormspell Records is preparing to reissue this obscure album?

Why not, if someone is crazy enough to allow you stage time, you review obscure albums that have legitimately been reissued by kick-ass labels like Stormspell?

Its a mixture really. If there is a reissue get that, if not, download it. Most of the albums have no proprietary restrictions on them anyway.

A bit late to the party, but I think this is a good idea. What does MR have to lose? These days it is possible to track down most albums in some way or other, and there's never anything wrong with discovering new old awesome bands for yourself.

I thought a lot of what was reviewed here would be considered under the radar, honestly. Except maybe to the more devoted metalhead.

And a lot that stuff tends to get ignored in the comments section, though I can't say about the actual page views.

I concur. We review plenty of albums that could be considered "obscure". Don't take this the wrong way H_T, but just because many of them probably aren't from a genre/time period that you particularly enjoy (I think that's what it boils down to), it does not seem to justify another review section.
