I agree with Ken that Owens needs to do his own thing. I really enjoyed the Beyond Fear cd and I felt that it really stood on it's own. It was musically well written, performed perfectly, and the production was great. I will add that I that I feel that Owens needs to mature a bit in his lyrics but that may come in time. I've heard his new cd and I don't feel that it's very strong at all. The production is weak. Plus, the guitars sound too muddy for me. I was really looking forward to it too due to Owens having complete autonomy over the project and the list of special guest performers was rather impressive.
