If you don't like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, or Dio, you have no business wasting air on the planet, much less being on a Metal forum.

Of course, most women have no fucking taste when it comes to just about everything anyways, so I'm not surpirsed.

Maybe Sara Bareilles croaking out that shitty "Love Song" would be more up your alley.

No offence, but I really can't stand Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Dio! I was under the impression that that was an era that metal fans were hoping to forget. Sorry!!

Pappy Roach is da nu shiz yo! :dio:

No, but I understand how you feel. I've got alot of hardcore (which you seem to like) buddies that can't stand metal, especially not the old bands.

Yeah, it's all his fault!! When I come home and he's listening to Judas Priest, he gives me a look like I've caught him masturbating

don't drag me down with you :X

Why don't you make your own list Kelly ?

I don't really know enough about metal to be able to sum it up with ten songs. If I had to get at what I like with metal then umm,
Converge - "saddest day"
Black Sabbath - "sabbath bloody sabbath"
Pelican - "march into the sea"
Metallica - "trapped under ice"
Opeth - "black water park"
Mastodon - "crystal skull"
The Dillinger Escape Plan - "we are the storm"
Akimbo - "circle of hair"
Tool - "third eye"
Wolves in the Throne Room - "i shall lay my bones down among the rocks and roots"
Earth - "seven angels"

Based on your ridiculous statement about not liking "the big 3", I'd agree with that statement wholeheartedly.

Don't worry Kelly, I don't like Dio and I'm not a huge fan of Priest...although I <3 Maiden . Your list is good though :dio:

*...can't be bothered with making a list of his own*

There is seriously something wrong with a person who doesn't like Iron Maiden. Seriously, see a psychiatrist or something.

Why is it ridiculous? It's just my opinion that that sort of thing sounds cheesy and dated... I can see how people like it but it's not my thing.

It might just be me, but I think 'Kelly' is a sockpuppet account.

I don't know about 10 songs but for me it was the first Maiden album and a Sabbath best of that got me into metal. Then it was Metallica-MOP, Slayer-RiB and SITA and then Dio and stuff.

Ha, my girlfriend's name is Kelsey. How bout that...

If i were to create a metal album of 10 songs, i would have lots of different genres, afterall, its all listed under the METAL banner. Why give someone an album of just 80's metal or plain heavy metal, when there is so much more out there.

Based on that, my 10 tracker would be:

1. Aces High - Iron Maiden (NWOBHM)
2. Wherever I May Roam - Metallica (Commercial heavy metal)
3. Hunting High & Low - Stratovarius (European power metal)
4. You've Got Another Thing Comin' - Judas Priest (80's metal)
5. Into The Storm - Blind Guardian (power metal)
6. The Poet & The Pendulum - Nightwish (symphonic power metal)
7. Wolf - Iced Earth (American metal)
8. English Fire - Cradle Of Filth (gothic/black metal)
9. Time Of Despair - Entwine (gothic rock/metal)
10. Caught In A Web - Dream Theatre (progressive metal)
Bonus Track
11. Power Of The Dragonflame - Rhapsody (epic Hollywood metal)
