Praise the lord, he is back!!! I'm really looking forward to this one, and of course the new Iced Earth.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice, this sounds pretty fucking awesome. Unlike most people, I listened to Legend of The Bonecarver and it was good, but I didn't much care for the vocals, didnt seem like anything special and I never gave the album more than 2 listens since it was kinda.. "eh" but this sounds fucking awesome.

Jon better not fuck up Barlow's return with shitty music either because I will find him and I will yell at him from a distance!!!

Been listening to these two clips quite a bit since they came out, and damn Matt hasnt missed a beat considering he's been gone for a few years. Wish they would announce the release date for the cd. Two doses of Barlow in 2008, cant beat that.

Also, Iced Earth announced the release date for the next single: I Walk Among You for June (in case no one has been checking). Its gonna feature an "exclusive" version of the song "I Walk Alone" from Something Wicked Pt 2 and re-release versions of Setian Massacre, The Clouding, and A Charge to Keep (itunes track only) from Framing Armageddon featuring Barlow on vocals.

Agreed, the guitar rhythm in particular.

Judging from these samples, this is far better than anything Iced Earth has put out since Horror Show (2nd best Iced Earth with Barlow after Burnt Offerings I think, very underrated). As for the Barlow/Owens debate, I think both are great singers, but prefer Barlow in the end and will always consider him the true voice of Iced Earth. The reason I didn't care for The Glorious Burden and Framing Armageddon is entirely due to the weak nature of the songwriting, though. Kind of the same thing with the two Priest albums with Tim (not without their moments, but overall mediocre). He just tends to appear on very sub-par albums.

Hmm, indeed. Pyramze knew who they were writing for, I guess.

Barlow is such an odd vocalist for me. The crooning he does on ballads is at times unbearable for me, but when he's shrieking he is unequalled. A very original vocalist, and one that it took me a very long time to properly appreciate.

Just got the news that Pyramaze got signed by Locomotive Records, and that the album is going to be released right in the beginning of June. I really can't see how this album could fail, it even has a lot of potential to be amazing.

lol, their website says it will be released on May 30th. Mark that day on your calendar. New albums from Communic, Sabaton, Pyramaze, Hollenthon and Blaze Bayley are coming on that day.

Hmm, Jonah ( the keyboardist ) announced on the forum that it will be released June 2. Ah, a few days here and there.

Try envisioning all the retards that download it and never pay for it.

It'll fail.

I'm fairly convinced it'll sell better than their previous work, they probably gained more fans with Barlow than they lost losing Lance. It won't rock the charts, but a pretty significant sales boost is what I expect.

When it all kicks off in Dracula he's awesome. I listened to Year of... and it didn't really do anything for me.

Matt Barlow is the only vocalist in metal I'd listen to a band for. Pyramaze rocks on their own, but god DAMN this sounds great.
