So many more posts on the Now Playing thread in the black death and thrash section. Everybody has been converted to black metal. I know i have been.

Let's stay tr00

Now playing. Pegazus - The Headless Horseman

Maybe one of the truest :? recordings in the whole scence.
You won't find any hint of Black, Death, Thrash, Prog or Alternative influences here. Melodic Power/Speed kitsch? Nothing!
It's just pure galopping Heavy Metal and great fun to listen every now and then. Great guitar work.

I got that album, from what I remember it is very average.

Pegazus is nice music with a singer I can't stand... so it makes it even under average...

NP
Koenji Hyakkei - Hundred Sights of Koenji (very very strange music featuring the fabulous duet The Ruins (bass & drums) and a bunch of japanese psychos ! über cool ! )

Celesty - Legacy Of Hate

This band is not so well known but is for sure worth checking if you like Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius and even Rhapsody. Their first album Reign Of Elements is also one of my present favorites.

Mar des Grises - The Tatterdemalion Express

Someone said, that they did the same thing with Gothic Doom Metal, like Opeth did with Death Metal and Enslaved did with Black Metal.
Well worth a trial!

ok this isn't metal, but then again it might just be the pinnacle of modern recorded music.

dio-holy diver
the best heavy metal album ever, but maidens NOTB comes very close, because on HD caught in the middle has a horrible riff.

i wouldn't call holy diver the best heavy metal album ever, but it's close indeed. for me it still can't beat blind guardian's imaginations from the other side.

NP: Rhapsody-Dawn of Victory
Maiden- Brave New World(a very underastimated album!)
Iced Earth-Burnt Offerings
