How's Hatefiles, Ken? That and Concrete are the only major FF releases I have to get, but I get put off considering Hatefiles seems to be mostly remixes and most of Concrete is on Soul Of A New Machine...

Hatefiles has a few decent tunes, but it's a typical odds-n-sods album. Nothing special, good to buy for a few bucks. Concrete is pretty sweet, but it's basically a demo.

Never cared for British Steel. Priest have done much better. Can't comment on Turbo.

Such a good album.

Definitely solid. I still think Howard sounds too processed, though. And some of the intros and interludes on the album are so fruity it amazes me that it's actually Killswitch I'm listening to.

Wish it was the reissue I'd gotten, though.

I think British Steel is better.

Turbo is a hit and miss for some I like it not typical JP but some songs are catchy like Turbo Lover.

I've listened to it a few times and I think it's great. The interludes will annoy people, but they fit when you really sit down and get into the album.

It's a different sort of style, as I pointed out in my review of the last album. The guitar sounds like a heavily distorted bass played through a guitar amp. But I still love the Pink Floyd-styled vocals and harmonies. I don't know. It'll take a good number of spins to digest, but I still listen to the first album a lot.

I think this is a love/hate kind of band. You get it or you don't.
