Least favourite= More politically correct way of saying worst.

Lucky for me Australia doesnt have a death sentence :P

Killers is very close with Dance Of Death.

I cannot say worst because i dont hate it, dont hate any Maiden albums, but one of them has to be in the 13th position...for me its Killers or DOD

It's pretty obvious you all have bad taste. I am the true Iron Maiden Fan and you all are posers.

Horns up!

You can like whatever you want, but people are going to think you're wrong, and they as well are entitled to that opinion.

But that doesnt mean you shouldnt engage in a little fighting over the matter. Thats just boring now isnt it?

the first two are very good albums BUT who came into the band then??? THE MAN.

ALSO, they got more metal less punk.

Don't get me wrong, the first two are great but iron maiden is iron maiden because of what came after!!!!

When you love a band like we all here love maiden, you'll listen to all their stuff and give it sometimes more of a chance than it maybe deserves....not so many people here would be impressed by a band similar to maiden's fist two albums and would never spin their cd so many times until it got into their head....something similar is with metallica where some fans love st anger(???) because they know its metallica, or ramstein with rosenrot ....

I'd just like to add something a little off-topic...X-FACTOR is SOOOOOOO GOOOOD, i just wish people would give it a better chance, because its not typical maiden(darker and slower a bit)

I also didn't like it at first, but....WOW...the best druming also....you can just listen to the drums and be on cloud nine!!!

I dont know about that. Iron Maiden pushed ahead of the NWOBHM pack because Paul Di'Anno's singing made the band more ferocious than some of the other melodic bands. it was their combination of punk and metal that made them so appealing. Bruce Dickinson came along and made the band more over the top. But Paul Di-Anno can definately be credited with getting the band through the initial years. he was a fuckin maniac, all metal should have a little bit of craze in it.

I agree.

You can look at everythin from diffirent perspectives...if you're just interested in the music or if you also apreciate what it has done at the time it was made and so on...

It's very difficult to discuss about these things because some people here are young and have been listening to maiden just for some time and haven't gone through their albums at the time (awaiting, expectations,...) and yet some pips here have been listening to them for over 20 years...the perception of maiden's new album or the old stuff is different from each side. Not to mention taste and a whole lot of other stuff!

There's also the problem of older metal heads who were there in the beginning who have changed over the years, thats why you don't ever see them complaining about the new trends in metal, its usually the more fanatic younger metal heads who are a little upset that they missed the heyday and have to put up with scenester crap from not only the newer fans, but the older ones who latch onto the nu-metal and aggro metal shit (Machine head and Korn are good examples). So you've got a shitload of opinions floating around and nobody has any tolerance for the other. So, shit, now even metal heads are divided.

Us younger metalheads need to keep the true spirit of heavy metal passed from the older generation alive... otherwise all will be forgotten and florists will take over instead.
