I just wasted an hour listening to this crap. I hate to say it but it's worse than Chameleon or any other Helloween record. It may even be the worst album I've heard all year. The Keeper's Trilogy is the only half decent song but I'm still considering giving this album 0.

Chameleon was a true album, though. This new one is not. It's a band doing a bunch of wacky covers of older material. You can't really compare the two, and you definitely can't hold it to same standards you have for regular albums.

It's unfortunate that so many people out there can't be objective and take something for what it is rather than what they want it to be simply because it serves their agenda, whatever that may be.

I wasn't exactly comparing. All I was saying is that Chameleon was the worst Helloween record I've heard before Unarmed. I know it's a best-of but the songs are rearranged and rerecorded so I can't help but consider them new material. When it comes to Helloween I expect good music, metal or not, but this was just terrible.

And please don't lump me together with H_T. I only care about good music and I don't look any further than that.

The songs themselves are all good. Can't complain there- the melodies, arrangements, performers... All good.

Understood. But "good music" is entirely subjective. Maybe it is terrible, I don't know yet, but even if it is, it really means nothing in the grand scheme of things Helloween.

I don't understand how objectivity fits into music. It seems like being objective is only good for making opinion-less statements about the music, such as trying to classify its sound, or describing what instruments are played on it. Other than that and a few other examples, being objective is pointless in metal. It would actually be a shame if people viewed music objectively, that would rob it of whatever meaning it has for people.

So, saying that its a shame that no one views this objectively is just another way of saying that you think its a shame that people hate it, and you don't want them to. Wah wah wah.....

Objectively speaking though, this is a pop album made by a heavy metal band. They play saxophones on it and there is nothing heavy about the sound.

Subjectively, I think its a bunch of sissy crap put out by a band who needs to make more money.

They claimed this album is just some kinds of presents for the fans so I don't really concern about this.
